NOOOOO!!!! Be HAPPY!!!! smile

I'm happy again! Truth is, I don't really remember why I wrote that. Maybe the thread made me think everybody is listening to the same albums, but, looking at it again, that's not really true. cool

I'm probably the only person here who has listened to Wynonna Judd albums. razz Country does not seem to be that popular on this site. That Was Yesterday is kinda bluesy though.

It's a Prince fan site, so what do you expect. I'm not a big country lover either, but I do like Johnny Cash. cool

Wynonna's a SOUL sista! There really isn't much Country stuff here, but I've always been fond of Anne Murray, Lacy J. Dalton, Janie Fricke, Charly McClain and Tanya Tucker, so you're not alone, Micky. smile

Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up.

If Janet Jackson, Madonna, Beyoncé, D'Angelo, & maybe Justin Timberlake made a country record it would be a hit here. razz

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

All of them together? On a Willie Nelson tribute album maybe?

It's a joke. They're the ones who get threads made here the most often and also the ones who get a lot of responses and views. Most other acts go down the tubes quickly, so it is not just country that is not really popular.

If "Strong Enough" was supposed to be the last song, then it would be listed on the cover and appear on all versions. Otherwise you guys would be talking about some shit that was only the last track in Japan.

But it wasn't a track released only on Japan releases. I brought mine at a store in Florida. Hell even Tyler Perry spoke about loving this song.

'God's Stepchild' was the bonus track on the Japanese release. But should have made the cut!

'Can't be stopped' was the hidden track on all versions of the CD

op said hidden and bonus songs dont count and neither does outros, so 'someday is tonight' and 'anytime, anyplace' are the official last songs from those albums.

The best last songs to me are epic exclamation points. If it's the title track then that's a bonus--like Prince's "Purple Rain", Tori Amos' "Little Earthquakes" or even Sheila E's eight-minute "The Glamorous Life".

Here's another favorite:

Transvision Vamp - Velveteen

No particular order (as favorite or chronological):

D'Angelo- Another Life (Black Messiah)

Nas- It Ain't Hard To Tell (Illmatic)

Isleys- Highways of My Life (3+3)

A Tribe Called Quest- Scenario (Low End Theory)

Marvin Gaye- Inner City Blues (What's Going On)

Sly- Thank You For Talking To Me Africa (There's A Riot)

Sly- Babies Makin' Babies (Fresh)

NPG- Exodus (Exodus)

That's it off the top of my head and looking through my phone. Good idea for a thread!

Now that I've read through the thread, I have a few more to add:

1st off, I've seen a lot of "Lady In My Life" by MJ and I'm in complete agreement. Since it IS the greatest selling album of all time AND has a great last song, that can't be listed enough.

2nd, "No Vaseline" may be the greatest last song on a great album. If even for the opening lyric "Goddamn I'm glad y'all set it off!".

Others:

MJ- Dangerous (Dangerous)

D.O.C.- The Grand Finale (No One Does It Better)

Marvin Gaye- Just To Keep You Satisfied (Let's Get It On)

Marvin Gaye- After The Dance (I Want You)

Miles Davis- Straight, No Chaser (Milestones)

MC Hammer- Pump It Up (Let's Get It Started)

Jimi Hendrix- Bold As Love (Axis)
