Have we discussed how dope that track is in the background yet? I just heard "the announcement" for the first time. I'm lovin that track! The subtle smooth groove and marketing approach reminds me of the pre-launch of her "janet." album.

Its sorta Madonna shade in that hopefully she will see what is NOT working for Madonna. I just hope she doesn't come out acting like she's 30 again with some bull-oney. Its been a long interesting almost decade since Discipline, and that didn't work out very well for her.

i really doubt she's gonna do any of that stuff. the way she's using social media is very smart imo, she's not on there acting a fool or trying too hard, she's using it for promo of this project. also remember she's now married to a arab international business man, i dont think we gonna see alot of things she's done in the past, she told fans last year her life is different now.

I too think the way she's using social media is smart. That's the key difference than the average artist today. They like everyone else use it for EVERYTHING. Now, let's hope that first single is fire.

I definitely think that background groove is either a song from the album or the music for an interlude. Notice the hustle and bustle noise in the background, like a bunch of people in a cafe or something, hence the Conversations in a Cafe slogan.

I know some may disagree but I really hope she just tours and releases her music while paying all the award shows dust. I don't think she owes them anything. They really treated her badly these last 10 years. Maybe she can go on Black Girls Rock or Soul Train but thats about it. I hope she continues to ignore them..

But no one from those other fan bases are bashing Janet and from the most part from what I have seen MJ fans are happy for her. So I dont get where you feel sales are being brought up.

Or are we comparing US chart numbers between two acts who both peaked in the late 80s - early/mid 90s (commercially) - one who hasn't done an album in seven years, one who consistently releases every 2-3 years and has probably the biggest worldwide following of anyone still living

well it's a business. why do any of us get out of bed and go to work? Same thing for these artists imo, we just happen to love what they do.
