LOL. Somehow I had never seen that.

I don't have a problem with one guy stating he is not that into one artist. What's interesting is everything people want to read into that.

You do have to give it up for skinny white girls with big tits, I won't take that away from him.

He doesn't have to like Beyonce but he came off as a total redneck hick for the entire article. Also, my picture needs to be re-quoted.

falloff Kid Rock has always been a joke...lol...but he's right about Beyonce. For all of the hype she gets,I can't name one song by her that's truly iconic and universal.

I agree with him 100%. The scarier thing to me is the fact that they're probably going to put her in the RnR Hall of Fame...and for what? Garbage. I guess she's the best piece of garbage in the pile of garbage that passes for "pop" music now, but it's still garbage. My dad said the same thing about Prince, so whatever...to each his/her own.

Make it so, Number One...

I dunno. I don't think she is as popular as her "hype" makes it seem in America and globally. She damn sure ain't no where near MJ or Madonna popularity globally. I know people who have gone to her concerts who find her to be very overrated and there are people my age that don't care for her. I know people in the UK who have also said she is not that popular there and Rihanna is. That isn't the first time I've heard that from people who live there.

How old are you? I'm just curious since you said people your age don't care for her music. I agree that her PR machine is working overtime to make her seem more relevant than what she really is. I don't understand what all of her hype is about because she's just not that spectacular. I think she's overrated and overhyped a lot. Who in their right mind would dare compare this chick to MJ? No matter how much she tries to copy his style she will NEVER EVER be on his level. Just never!

Her well paid PR team that's who! I'm pretty sure they are the ones putting the Beyonce is the MJ of our time comparisons out there. nod Nobody else is even thinking that. Except for her delusional, dim-witted stans lol

Her stans don't understand what makes a good album. Sure the look, music videos, and everything are a plus. But her album was so... meh. They look at the fact she broke the internet with her album. They look at the fact she made a video for every song. They look at the fact she sold a lot and did this and did that. But was the album actually good? outside all the other stuff? lol

That's one thing that annoys me about Jay-Z. It was fine when he rapped about selling crack on his first album. But recently? he's still fucking bringing it up. Dude has been a business mogul for years and years now. He goes to parties with Obama & Alan fucking cummings. I don't want to hear about shit he did like 3 decades ago lol

Exactly, He tries to make it seem like he is this "thug" or "rebel" in songs but then he wants to act all pretentious in interviews (Beyonce is like this too. They want to act ghetto in their songs but then want to act pretentious and "classy" in interviews it all just seems fake to me) You are a millionaire, have a wife, a child and your knocking on 50, Grow up! disbelief

She really isn't such a big name elsewhere in the world. In Europe it's far more likely that you're going to hear a Rihanna song in a mall, club or on the radio than something by Beyonce. Like, 4-5 times more likely. I'm not saying that Rihanna is "a bigger icon" or that Beyonce wouldn't have dedicated fans in Europe too, but Americans are a bit delusional if they think she's a comparable name to MJ or Madonna across the globe. When I see American media outlets describing her as "the most revered woman in the world" or something similar it feels pretty absurd.

Exactly.

bollocks!

I live in the UK and she is huge all over Europe.

God knows why though.

Nah. She's not huge. She may have her fans all over Europe, but she's definitely not huge. She's just like all the other female pop tarts. An also ran. She doesn't overshadow anyone.

LOL. And there goes the creditbilty. wink I don't really are that up to date with Kid Rock and don't really like his image, but he's got some good songs and is a better singer than his image would suggest. I really like his new song or the one he did with Slash (I hold on).

Yeah when Beyonce fans were foaming-at-the-mouth angry over her not winning the AOTY Grammy, all the reasons they gave about her album being better was shit like how she released the album, the videos, her being more popular, etc. What about the music though? When they fail to mentioned the music even her fans inadvertently admit how mediocre it is. lol

Every time I hear about her recent album its always about how well it sold. Its never about how great the music was. How many hits did she even have off that album? I've only ever heard of Drunk in love.

Beyonce just has some amazing PR working for her, basically. Her "brand" is more iconic than her music I feel. People say "Single Ladies" is her most iconic song but I don't know. I don't know if the song would be as popular if not for the video.

And I don't know why this part was even nessescary. It's not like it's impossible to find someone attractive even if they're not your "preference." Doesn't Kid Rock have a biracial child anyway? lol He really wants to have this Country Conservative Redneck image like he wasn't trying to be down 20 years ago lol

It's true. nod Kid Rock's does have son who looks more like a black male version of his father. The baby mama is a black woman, Kid Rock's ex-girlfriend from childhood.

I always wondered how Kid Rock sold so much. Devil Without a Cause was a good album when i was a kid. But i mean only one of the songs even went top 40. I know MTV played a role... but 11 million? how? and i remember people actually kind of respected him in that era. RS gave his album 4 stars & Robert Christgau gave it an A-

Now he's seen as a joke and his albums are poorly rated. How times change lol

Cowboy was the only track from the Devil Without A Cause album that charted on Billboards Hot 100 USA Singles Charts. All other release singles were Top 10 hits on the rock charts.

I've always heard Kid Rock was racist. But, he is right about not understanding her popularity. But, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand she is popular because of her PR team. Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez and Rhianna are all brands who just happen to record music. They may all have amazing PR teams but that won't aid them in being remembered for recording classic albums. No one will be singing or playing their records 30 years from now. As tabloid darlings and fashion icons, they may be remembered. As singers, they will be forgotten.
