TAYLOR DAYNE TELL IT TO MY HEART2 CD DELUXE VERSIONMARCH 30th - CHERRY POP
"Tell It To My Heart", the classic debut album from vocal powerhouse and perennial pop icon Taylor Dayne, receives a long-awaited Deluxe Edition double CD reissue on Cherry Pop.
• Originally released on Arista Records in early 1988, "Tell It To My Heart" immediately established Taylor as an major international chart star, reaching the Top 30 on both sides of the Atlantic, going gold in the UK and double platinum Stateside.
• "Tell It To My Heart" includes the global smash hit title track (#3 UK, #7 US), and three further international hits: the dance floor favourite "Prove Your Love" (UK #8, US #7), the signature ballad "I’ll Always Love You" (US #3) and "Don’t Rush Me" (US #2). Produced by Taylor’s longtime collaborator Ric Wake, the album also features "In The Darkness", penned by Madonna songwriters Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly, plus covers of Honey Cone’s classic 1971 US #1 "Want Ads" and Siedah Garrett’s "Do You Want It Right Now", subsequently a club classic for Degrees Of Motion.
• Digitally remastered direct from the original Arista master tapes, this Deluxe Edition features bonus tracks including "Willpower", recorded for the 1988 Seoul Olympics, and comprehensively compiles sought-after mixes of all four singles - many of which appear here on CD for the first time. CD2 consists entirely of full-length 12" mixes, celebrating Taylor’s status as an undisputed dance floor diva.
• With personal input from Taylor herself and other key personnel, this release also features fully reversible outer artwork utilising both versions of the original album sleeve. The extensive booklet also features additional photos, a fully illustrated discography and recording data, lyrics and brand new sleeve notes.
Since making her chart-topping debut with "Tell It To My Heart", Taylor Dayne has sold over 75 million records, with five studio albums and over 20 hit singles to her name. Her career highlights include three Grammy nominations, songwriting for Tina Turner, Broadway acclaim for her roles in "Cats" and Elton John and Tim Rice’s "Aida", and induction into her native Long Island’s Musicians Hall Of Fame alongside fellow LI luminaries Billy Joel, Lou Reed and Pat Benatar. Following Taylor’s recent single "Dreaming", more new material and a busy calendar of live dates are planned for 2015.
"Tell It To My Heart" follows well-received recent Deluxe Edition reissues of Taylor’s second and third albums "Can’t Fight Fate" and "Soul Dancing", making her entire Arista album catalogue available via Cherry Pop.

• Now, for the first time ever, "London Warsaw New York”, the sophomore album from BASIA, has been digitally remastered and expanded.
• The deluxe edition of "London Warsaw New York” is being released to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the album. It also follows the success of the deluxe edition of "Time And Tide”, Basia’s debut, which is also available on Cherry Pop.
• Originally released in 1989, "London Warsaw New York” (US #20, UK #68) reached multi-platinum sales status in the US and sold very well in France, Germany, Japan, and Southeast Asia.
• A total of three singles were lifted from the album including ‘Baby You’re Mine’, ‘Until You Come Back To Me (That’s What I’m Gonna Do)’ (a cover of the Stevie Wonder-penned, Aretha Franklin classic), and her biggest US hit, ‘Cruising For Bruising’ (US #29).
• Basia defined the smooth jazz radio format in the US in the late 80s and early 90s. She became one of their signature artists and went on to sell over 6 million albums in the US.
• This 2CD deluxe edition features 34 tracks including the original 10-song album alongside 24 bonus tracks, 13 of which are previously unreleased.
• The bonus material on this collection features all of the single versions, b-sides, remixes, and alternate versions that were released during the promotion of the original album. Additionally, an instrumental version of "London Warsaw New York” is featured as part of this deluxe edition. Nearly all of the instrumental mixes have remained unreleased until now. Also, four previously unreleased demos, unearthed from Basia’s archives, round out this spectacular, highly anticipated collection.
• The 16-page CD booklet contains comprehensive liner notes, track annotations from Basia and Danny White (both of whom were members of pop combo, Matt Bianco), written contributions from PWL mixmaster Phil Harding who mixed the album, photos, illustrated discography, lyrics and complete credits.
N.B: This title is released March 16 and will not be dispatched before his date.

With the release of the various artists CD “One In A Million: The Songs Of Sam Dees”, his “Take One” vinyl album and a fast-selling single, Sam Dees has been a fixture of the Kent schedule these last 12 months. . Back in the 90s we issued two very popular CD collections of his work as a recording artist and songwriter for Clinton Moon’s Showtime Productions in the 70s. Some of the tracks were demo recordings, and some were finished masters, possibly intended for release on what would have been his second album. . Since then, enough tapes of similar quality have come to light for us compile a third CD collection of his Showtime recordings – including a few titles featured on various artists compilations, a couple of alternate takes of tracks from Sam’s “The Show Must Go On” album, and ‘Married, But I’m Still In Love’, which debuted on our “Take One” LP. Previously unheard compositions include the ballads ‘We’ve Got To Get It Together’ and the sparse but beautiful ‘Child’s Play’, while ‘Today Is A New Day’ and ‘Singing In Poverty’ represent the awakening of Sam’s social consciousness. There are uptempo offerings, ideal for the dancefloor, such as ‘Total Love’, ‘A Case Of The Boogie’ and the sensual ‘Gimme A Little Action’, and just plain great Sam Dees-penned songs like ‘I’m Your Biggest Fan’ and ‘What Good Is A Love’. . Songs Sam’s fans will recognise include alternate mixes of ‘So Tied Up’ and ‘What’s It Gonna Be’ from his “The Show Must Go On” LP. There is also a new version of Alpaca Phase Three’s ‘Someone To Run To’, featuring a previously unheard Sam rap, and ‘Touch Me With Your Love’, which is more than a minute longer than earlier released version. All in all, well over an hour of Sam Dees recordings from this productive period of inspired soul music. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

So, looks like BBR is acquiring the rights the Warner Brother's catalog? This will be the third time around for those Ashford & Simpson titles. Yeah, what's up with shit being re-issued multiple times?? So ghetto! Especially since Chaka's entire catalogue has been neglected and other artists have never been on CD EVER. I'm talking about you Hodges, James & Smith!!
And can we please stop including You'e The One on Phyllis Hyman reissues?? This is now the 3rd reissue it is appearing on. Does it need to be tacked on to every one of her albums?? One would suffice. "Keep in mind that I'm an artist...and I'm sensitive about my shit."--E. Badu

Earth, Wind And Fire Open Our Eyes on Numbered Limited Edition 4.0 Multichannel Hybrid SACD from Audio FidelityIncludes Multichannel Mix in SACD Surround Sound & Original 2-Channel Stereo Mixes in SACD Stereo/CD StereoRelease: March 31, 2015
.
During the 1970s, a new brand of pop music was born – one that was steeped in African and African-American styles – particularly jazz and R&B but appealed to a broader cross-section of the listening public. As founder and leader of the band Earth, Wind & Fire, Maurice White not only embraced but also helped bring about this evolution of pop, which bridged the gap that has often separated the musical tastes of black and white America. It certainly was successful, as EWF combined high-caliber musicianship, wide-ranging musical genre eclecticism, and ’70s multicultural spiritualism.
.
Thanks to the chart-topping "Kalimba Song," the gritty funk smoker "Mighty Mighty" and the unforgettable "Devotion," Earth, Wind & Fire's fifth studio album, 1974 tour de force Open Our Eyes, shot the band into the music stratosphere for good climbing to No. 1 on the R&B charts and No. 15 on Pop. Funk came in different shades at the time and EWF took the mantle as the finest practitioners of the silky smooth style - a hybrid that managed to retain the edge and energy of the original format, but proved to be a mainstream commercial crossover success to boot.
.
Features:
• 4.0 Multichannel Hybrid SACD from Audio Fidelity
• 4.0 Surround Sound mix
• Original 2-track stereo mix

Manic Street Preachers The Holy Bible 20 on Limited Edition 180g LP + 4CD Box SetRelease: March 10, 2015
.
Sony Legacy is proud to announce that Manic Street Preachers (the influential post-punk industrial modern rock band formed in Blackwood Wales in 1986) will celebrate the 20th anniversary of The Holy Bible (their third studio album) with The Holy Bible Tour, the group's first North American concert dates in six years, and the release of The Holy Bible 20, a newly expanded edition of the widely acclaimed masterpiece.
.
Originally released on Epic Records in 1994, The Holy Bible has proved pivotal in the evolution of Manic Street Preachers and the alternative rock music landscape bridging the 20th and 21st centuries. A 1995 US tour, planned in support of The Holy Bible, was cancelled when Richey Edwards, MSP's principle lyricist and rhythm guitarist, disappeared, under mysterious and still unknown circumstances, on February 1, 1995. Edwards' last live show with the Manics was on December 21, 1994 and The Holy Bible contains his last recordings with the band.
.
Following Edwards' disappearance, the Manic Street Preachers continued to record, tour and develop in his absence, creating a discography of powerful and influential albums and singles and becoming one of the UK's biggest bands in the process. In 2014, MSP released the critically acclaimed UK #2 studio album Futurology and The Holy Bible 20, the definitive collector's edition of the group's 1994 watershed.
.
In late 2014, to coincide with the 20th anniversary of The Holy Bible, the Manic Street Preachers mounted a UK tour of concerts - which sold out in 9 minutes - featuring the album performed live, in sequence and entirety, for the first time ever. Overwhelming demand prompted a second run of The Holy Bible live shows for 2015 in Edinburgh, Wolverhampton, Southampton and Cardiff Castle. A deluxe edition of The Holy Bible (20th Anniversary Edition) was released in the UK on December 9, 2014.
.
An ultra deluxe physical edition of the album, featuring a 12" vinyl LP and 4CDs, is slated for release in March 2015. The 12" x 12" box contains the remastered album on 180 gram heavyweight vinyl plus 4 CDs and a 40 page book. The CDs contain the full album, the remastered US version, b-sides, live versions and a previously unreleased version of "Revol." The Holy Bible (20th Anniversary Edition) also includes a live CD of the band's last performances with guitarist Richey Edwards from the Astoria on December 1994.
.
Features:
• Original album remastered by James Dean Bradfield and Tim Young on 180 gram vinyl
• CD1 The Holy Bible (Remastered)
• CD2 The Holy Bible (US Mix) (Remastered)
• CD3 B Sides
• CD4 Live (Featuring the band’s seminal ’94 Astoria show recorded by the BBC and a collection of incredible acoustic performances recorded at the band’s recent Radio 4 Mastertapes session, bringing the band’s history full circle from 1994 to 2014)
• 40 page 12” book (Including rare photos and imagery, handwritten lyrics and notes from Richey and much more) You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. For 23 straight Saturday nights of 1982, The Chicago Party dance show assaulted Chicagoland UHF eyeballs with Spandex, Southside fly guys, tender tenderonies, magicians, contortionists, prismatic video gimmickry, and lip-synched singles by a rising regime of local post-disco casualties. Unfettered nightlife and outlandish humor poured out of oddball outpost The CopHerBox II and onto TV screens, presented here as a 100 minute video mixtape on DVD. Its companion compilation features five previously unreleased tracks, joined by music culled from a trove of self-released 45s and small-time 12”s. Die-cut cathode-ray jacket and six in-package stills put the Party at your fingertips. . 1. Diana Krall All For You: A Dedication To The Nat King Cole Trio on Limited Edition 180g 45RPM 2LP from ORGMastered by Bernie Grundman from the Original Analog Master TapesRelease: March 31, 2015
.
On this salute to pianist/vocalist extraordinaire Nat King Cole, Diana Krall has a lot to live up to, presenting a group of compositions that are ingrained in the public's memory as part of a lasting legacy of both jazz and pop music. It's to her credit that she went about this intimidating task with a resourcefulness and quiet grace that makes All For You an exceptional tribute.
.
A majority of All For You features Krall in an appropriately unadorned trio setting wonderfully capturing the essence of the Cole trio's arrangements. Krall swings hard with guitarist Russell Malone and bassist Paul Keller on "I'm An Errand Girl For Rhythm" and "Hit That Jive Jack," often employing Cole trio devices such as repeated unison figures and on-top-of-the-beat eighth notes on bass.
.
Diana Krall's own sultry, understated singing and crisp, straightforward piano is distinctive enough to cast a fine new light on these classic songs while still paying her deepest respects to the iconic Nat King Cole Trio.
"...if you’re going to own but one Krall album, this is the one to own!" - Michael Fremer, www.musicangle.com

Blu-ray Pure Audio Discs Offer True High-Resolution 24-bit/96kHz Audiophile Sound
Universal Music Group has gone back to the original master tapes to deliver fully uncompressed, high-resolution versions of many of your favorite albums on Blu-ray Pure Audio Disc. Mastered at 24bit/96kHz, Blu-ray Pure Audio Discs deliver the sound the artists originally heard in the studio when these classic albums were recorded. • No compression is utilized, and the sound quality is vastly superior to MP3 or standard CD
• Three separate choices of audio file format for playback: PCM 2.0, Dolby True HD, or DTS-HD Master Audio (5.1 available where noted)

Bon Jovi Slippery When Wet on Blu-Ray Pure Audio DiscRelease: April 7, 2015
Bon Jovi's eponymous debut album was released in 1984, and "Runaway" became a Top 40 hit. Following its success, Tony Bongiovi sued the band, claiming he developed their successful sound; the group settled out of court. The following year, 7800° Fahrenheit was released and went gold. Despite the band's respectable success, Bon Jovi weren't becoming the superstars they had hoped, and they changed their approach for their next album, Slippery When Wet.
.
Hiring professional songwriter Desmond Child as a collaborator, the group wrote 30 songs and auditioned them for local New Jersey and New York teenagers, basing the album's running order on their opinions. After ditching the original cover of a busty woman in a wet T-shirt for the title traced in water on a garbage bag, Slippery When Wet was released in 1986.
.
Supported by several videos that showcased the photogenic Jon, the album eventually sold nine million copies in the U.S. alone, helping usher in the era of pop-metal. Two songs, "You Give Love a Bad Name" and "Livin' on a Prayer," reached No. 1, while "Wanted Dead or Alive" reached the Top Ten, and Bon Jovi were established as worldwide superstars once and for all.
.
Universal has gone back to the original master tapes to deliver fully uncompressed, high-resolution versions of many of your favorite albums on Blu-ray Pure Audio Disc. Mastered at 24bit/96kHz, Blu-ray Pure Audio Discs deliver the sound the artists originally heard in the studio when these classic albums were recorded. These discs provide all the recorded musical information. While convenient due to their small file size, today’s heavily compressed music files do not represent the true fidelity of the original album.
.
• Recordings are transferred from the original master tapes and delivered in high-resolution 24-bit/96kHz audio
• No compression is utilized, and the sound quality is vastly superior to MP3 or standard CD
• Three separate choices of audio file format for playback: PCM 2.0, Dolby True HD, or DTS-HD Master Audio (5.1 available where noted)
• Your preferred audio format is chosen either by pressing the "Audio" button on your Blu-ray remote or via your onscreen menu display
