Jackson tweets, "If there is a new project, you'll hear it from my lips"

Nick Ashford was someone I greatly admired, had the honor of knowing, and was the real-life inspiration for Cowboy Curtis' hair. RIP Nick. - Pee Wee Herman

I doubt that she would do another tour named after one of MJ's songs lol

Why not? Did Mj trademark the title "Unbreakable". Maybe its a tribute. But that title can also apply to her as well.

We need songs as good as Make Me and Rock With U. Not generic garbage like Feedback or Call on Me. Release something great goddess. And come to the glorious city where you started your terriffic All For You tour (which was partially televised on VH1!).

If she would do something in the vein of ALL NITE and RWU, and then throw in some Velvet Rope-ish songs, I'd be over the moon lol

Hm, I never saw those pairs of songs as worlds apart like that. In fact, I prefer "Call On Me" to "Make Me", and most of the general public think "Feedback" was her last good song.

"Rock With U" was dope. I was very disappointed to discover that JD heavily relied on a sample for that track. That was Janet's & JD's finest recording moment together for me (not to mention NEYO).

I didn't have a problem with "Feedback". "Call On Me" never blew me away though.

Most of the general public never even heard Feedback. I'd like to think the fans who were loyal through her 3 flop albums were nostalgic for the song of Summer 2001, "All For You" when they heard Make Me. Make Me deserved to be a hit. Feedback was like some song an American Idol contestant would release only with dirtier lyrics.

Damita Jo (2004)

20 YO (2006)

Discipline (2008)

All sold poorly due to the expectations of an established artist during the era they were released.

Who's coochie did you pull those numbers out of? Those must be worldwide numbers cause each album after All For You sold only on her name and catalog loyalty. The reason is that her last hit was Someone to Call My Lover in 2001.

The Velvet Rope - 3,237,266

All For You - 3,108,795

Damita Jo - 1,004,428

20 Years Old - 679,000

Discipline - 451,209

The last three flopped because of no hits. 1 million was not impressive for a big artist in 2004.

I am talking about non-fans. Perhaps it's because it was a hit on Canadian radio, but people know "Feedback".

There were no true hits because of the SB incident, which caused MTV and radio to become pussies, which meant that there was no promo for the albums or songs. The fact that they sold what they did without any MTV/radio backing is a positive.

Yes I think I Want You and All Nite would have gotten airplay and DJ would have sold just under 2.5 million domestically without nipplegate. And we would have had a Damita Jo tour.
