Ed Sheeran stealing black music

Have you guys heard "Thinking Out Loud"? It's blues, but it' so generic....

those guitars even sound slightly Prince-ish.....maybe SOTT era or something....

I thought George Michael, Lewis Taylor, Daryl Hall, Robert Palmer, Daley, Sam Smith had already ''stolen'' Black music? lol

If Sheeran writes a song with a black co-writer &
uses a black producer is he then stealing black music?

I hate to break this to you boo. But a lot of people have done blues since the golden age. And that song is hardly blues lol

You must have missed The Stones, Zeppelin, Cream, Eric Clapton, Jack Johnson, The Animals, The Clash, Whitesnake. Were you in carbonite for 30 years?

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

All music is shit music and no music is real- gunsnhalen

This song is blues? meh. More country with a blues tinge. I guess my blues is a bit harder than this.

Qazz

Tired accusation. If he were blowing up with the whitest of white music that was successfully cock blocking "black music" from being seen and heard, people would be complaining about that too.
