I've already knew about Joh'Vonne. nod But I'm surprise that Janet was THE only Jackson sibling to finally came around in accept Joh'Vonne as a true sibling on picture. eek . That in itself is far more of an effort than Michael and the other siblings ever did.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

There's only so many years in a decade to go around such a large family.

Imagine:

Rebbie Jackson - album in 1980
Jackie Jackson - album in 1981
Tito Jackson - album in 1982
Jermaine Jackson - album in 1983
La Toya Jackson - album in 1984
Marlon Jackson - album in 1985
Michael Jackson - album in 1986
Randy Jackson - album in 1987
Janet Jackson - album in 1988

I guess they can make a family reunion album in 1989 and repeat?! whofarted

Joh'Vonnie bought a vip ticket to Janet's concert. Hence the reason for the pic like any other fan who bought VIP passes lol

actually johvonnie and rebbie has a real sisters relationship. rebbie was the first and only sibling to accept her as a little sister. when she posted thebackstage pass janet sent her on fb she captioned it 'we're growing', so i guess that meant her and janet had some kind of breakthrough and was trying to build a relationship

If I were one of the Jackson brothers,I would have done things differently. After the Victory tour,I would have gotten into writing and producing for other artists, like Leon Sylvers did when the Sylvers group was over.Releasing solo albums at a time when the world only cared about Michael, was a huge mistake. There was no way to compete with that.

as for Rebbie...."Centitpede" was an excellent song, but her career suffered from a lack of truly great songs. The singles that came after "Centipede" were instantly forgettable.

Latoya had no business making albums at all lol In the 80s,it wasn't always about being as good as Aretha or Patti, but you had to at least be vocally convincing.LaToya flunked that test, lol.

They were all writing and producing until Victory. After Victory not so much. Jermaine did some stuff for Whitney, Howard Johnson and a few others. Tito worked with Tremaine Hawkins and his sisters. Jackie did some music scores and work with Gregg Philliganes. Marlon and Randy with the sisters mostly.

They were most prolific around 78-86.

It's your fault that you didn't see the Body video in proper context. Marion was playing the role of his brother Michael throughout. wink

I can certainly see why Michael didn't participate in that video lol the song itself is a rip-off of "Wanna Be Startin' Something"

Well, why didn't Jermaine appear in it or Torture? Marlon sings on 2300 Jackson Street but does not appear in the video. Maybe that's his revenge. razz lol

Both song were partially based on the patterns of Lonely One. But it's still the "Jackson sound" co-founded by Michael, Jackie, & Randy.

Marion didn't appear in the 2300 Jackson Street video due to a personal falling out he had with the entire family at the time concerning his wife (the same woman he is still married to even today).

Even Katherine doesn't think that Marlon can sing.In LaToya's autobiography, she describes the time when Marlon played his 1987 album for her.She smiled and said nice things, but when Marlon left the room, she said "He needs to hang it up...he just can't sing!"

I have the Janet tune just put For You instead of To You.

Jermaine track I didn't add because he wasn't in the group at the time and Say You Do isn't written or produced by a brother.
