If it weren't for her pimp/husband, Beyonce would have been irrelevant way sooner than now. I think she's already past her heyday but is being so heavily marketed and promoted that the average listener think she's got some kind of stellar output still. All of her stuff is redundant. Besides, you were dead wrong for comparing Beyonce to Janet's Discipline album, what does one have to do with the other? Beywance has a team that pays off the media to keep her relevant. Oh, no, i'm not mad at all! I actually like them both pretty evenly, so it's like having an argument of peanut butter vs. jelly. If I criticize Janet it's because i think she's capable of so much more.
I think she was a pretty good entertainer. I look at what and whos considerd hot today like Bieber,Chris Brown,Riahnna,Trey Songs. Id say shes just as good as they are.

With each album, with each new video she looked different and brought it as far as her image went. From RN all the way through to All For You, her personal style totally evolved. And her music spanned several genres, encompassing Pop, R&B, Rock, Big Band, and even opera. Next time, before you put finger to keyboard, you need to know what the fuck you're talking about.

Well, even though I like a lot of Mariah's music, she doesn't change her look, sound or anything. She's very paint by numbers. I honestly don't think anyone can truly say that Janet was predictable.

Janet Jackson doesn't have to reach any plateaus that she once attained because her legacy, which Beyonce has benefited from, is etched in stone. She built the house that Beyonce and most of the other current pop/R&B divas live in, and she doesn't have to "catch up to" whatever they are doing, because she's already done it.
