I grew up with this song, it's the ultimate G funk song of all time... and the only stuff that pops in my mind when I hear "hip hop"

Not sure, but mine would be one of these: . Five Minutes Of Funk ~ Whodini Rapper's Delight ~ Sugarhill Gang Jam On It ~ Newcleus Request Line ~ Rock Master Scott & The Dynamic Three Freedom ~ Grandmaster Flash & The Furious 5 You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

My all time favorite is "My Melody" by Eric B. and Rakim. Rakim is still my favorite rapper after all these years........

Yes he was. Unfortunately his death and Baatin's death pretty much spelled the end for a promising rap group Slum Village. Missfee if I had to have a survival pack of 5 rap albums Like Water for Chocolate would be one of them. Don't laugh at my funk

I can never commit to questions like this -- and here is no exception. But I can get it down to a likely two... [Edited 7/12/14 18:44pm] Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

- Wow! I used to slay a many B-Boy in my neighborhood with "Clear" breakdancing. I used to read Marvel comic books with "The Smurf" in the background (can't explain why). Seems like every Saturday night, "The Smurf" used to be on the radio while reading my books. I guess I could blame good commercial radio programming!
