Artist with the most gorgeous album/single artwork overall?

I don't mean just one album, but as far as overall goes. I think the honour would go to Talk Talk:

Maybe some 1970's progressive rock group (e.g. Yes, Moody Blues, Genesis) or The Ohio Players. Not a single act, but I like those covers from the CTI jazz label.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I don't know how to post pix up in here, but check out Minnie Riperton's "Stay In Love" gatefold album on vinyl. Look at the front cover and then flip it over and look at the back cover. It's AWESOME and ingenious for 1977! smile

Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up.

I think the OP is talking about the covers overall for a particular act, not just one release.
