I'm a Generation Y guy but I'm feel like Elvis' star cooled off back in the 70s when the pool of countless more talented and interesting artists began taking over the music scene.

Why the hate for The Beatles?

I just can't stand their music. Doesn't take away from the fact that they matter a whole lot to a whole lot of people. Just not for me.

So you don't like any Beatles song or their solo stuff? I assume you like The Doors?

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

The Beatles are more popular than both Elvis and Michael. And I'd put Elvis before Michael. Elvis is the Real King of all this Shit. this is by no means downing Michael Jackson but if I were to make a list I would put him at Number Four Behind Madonna.

Elvis got nothing on Madonna much less Michael.

Yeah, not any of their songs or solo stuff: https://rateyourmusic.com..._albums/5/

I do like The Doors, but I've cooled on them a bit over the years. I'm just not that into 60s music in general, aside from Can, The Velvet Underground, Otis Redding, Sun Ra and some Doors and Kinks.

I haven't listened to any Elvis albums. I'd imagine they'd probably average out to about a 5. I'm pretty ambivalent about him, to be honest. Still, that's a fair step up from The Beatles, who I really dislike.
