oh cool so she did japan for confessions? its only 5hours to australia from there...we must have pissed her off when she came in 93 to hold such a long grudge against touring here... sad

.

nod Two shows in Osaka, then two shows at the Tokyo Dome...last four shows of the CT!!

.

I agree, she is wayyy overdue to visit Oz! I suspect she's not pissed off, it's just a bean-counter thing. But if other artists can make it work I don't know why her organization can't.

.

.

.Edit: meant to say Osaka, not Kyoto!

I assume she will do her best to skip Australia again?

For that matter when did she last even tour Japan? Thats a huge market for her...

She should surprise everyone and begin her next tour in Australia. Those fans deserve that. She has ignored them for so long.

Gotta say....I really feel for our Aussie Madonna fans, a live show down there is LONG overdue. I'd even forgo a UK show in the next tour and travel somewhere myself just to they can have her back.

In the summer of 2006, Madonna's manager Guy Oseary announced that her Australian leg to the tour had been dropped. Her official website released the following statement:

To my fans in Australia,

Please forgive me. I really did hope and expect to come to Australia during the Confessions Tour and asked my managers to try to include some shows there. I have fond memories from previous tours. Unfortunately, the logistics just didn't work out this time around. We looked into going from Japan to Australia and ending the show there but I have to get my kids back into school in England and they are, as you can understand, my most important priority. The important thing to remember is that I'm not retiring anytime soon and I am gonna get to Australia as soon as I can. You remain in my heart and Thank you for your continued love & support. —Love, Madonna

it's funny to me how some fans hear this stuff and assume it's the real thing lol the fan who discovered this track got really enthusiastic...

I have a 2,5 minute leak of a demo called Sweat and Yell (or possibly "Caged")

Demo sounds very unfinshed with lots of spoken vocals and some beautiful strings, reminds me of classics like Papa dont preach & Oh Father.
And some of the best lyrics since the ROL-album

lol

a real fan would know that this is a poem that Madonna recited in the 'I'm Going To Tell You A Secret' documentary. They just added some dramatic music and called it a demo from the new album!

Is there a similar statment for the DW, RIT, S&S and MDNA tours by-pass as well?

Or is it always about timing the school terms in the UK? ...weak...

will Madonna record an all-ballads album?

Madonna to write a 'grown up' album of ballads with help from Adele

By MAIL ON SUNDAY DIARY

Madonna is hanging up her pointy bras and fishnets as she swaps dance music for a 'grown up' album of ballads - thanks to Adele.

Queen of reinvention Madge has asked the 25-year-old songstress, below left, to help her, promising in return to write a song for Adele's next record.

'They have met in London and plan a writing session to produce a track for each other's new albums,' says a source close to 55-year-old Madonna,

I agree, it was a weak excuse. More like total B.S. Seems she has been on tour during the northern hemisphere summer since RIT (i.e., after the Live Nation deal). Not to mention, I'm sure she can afford tutors for her kids.

This sounds like a smart collaboration idea, and I'm sure I would listen, but Adele is quite boring to me. I thought she was collaborating with Pat Leonard? It would be weird to have an entirely slow album from Madonna, just as much as her dance albums can wear on my nerves.

I always thought of the whole bedtime stories/something to remember and Evita period as Madonna in peak slow-mode...

Some good tracks off Bedtime Stories helped keep most of the mid-90s from being a Madonna snooze-fest...

I guess all of Adele's stuff isn't technically slow, just soft as hell! You won't hear a beat like "Human Nature" on a new album!

Oh no dont get me wrong, but as far as "dance" madonna goes, she took a vacation in the mid 90s.

I love all of Erotica, but Bedtime Stories/S2R/Evita was kinda a boring few years as a fan for me.

The songs you highlighted are all great but living it in the 90s was getting exhausting when waiting for another madonna "party" track...

Secret, Let Down Your Guard, Bedtime Story and I Want You would be my fave off those respective albums, I dont care for any songs from Evita really...
