Juror 27 Response:
I couldn't agree more with the bolded. It's practically an epidemic as far as I'm concerned.

I was on this jury, and of all the places I've seen where this is being talked about, this community seems by far to be the most level-headed and approachable. So many passionate MJ fans rationally discussing the verdict rather than lashing out in anger is very nice to see, and makes me think this is probably the best place for me to make a small statement.

Initially I planned to avoid and ignore all the comments about the verdict after the trial ended. Because as soon as we answered 'no' to question 2 in the jury room, I knew how it would be reported and misunderstood ("DURR STUPID JURY HOW CAN CONRAD MURRAY BE FIT AND COMPETENT WHEN HE IS IN JAIL FOR KILLING MJ??? DURRR"). And sure enough, the very first question asked by the media when we got outside was "How could you find Conrad Murray competent?" And of course a bunch of hardcore MJ supporters outside were yelling, calling us stupid and confused, etc. So I figured rather than getting annoyed at misinformation being spread or seeing us called morons ad nauseam, it'd be better to just ignore it all.

Well that lasted about a day before my curiosity got the better of me, and I had to peek around to see what people were saying. I had to see if that version of us as idiots was the main narrative going on. Thankfully most people commenting on the verdict are actually looking at what we were instructed to consider, and agree with our decision. We knew from day 1 that no matter the outcome we would have people agreeing and disagreeing with the verdict, and I'm thankful that this jury did not concern itself with what people would say or think about us and decided to follow the instructions and base our verdict on the evidence in the case.

Just like our jury foreman, I went into this trial about as neutral as one could be towards Michael Jackson. I was 7 when Thriller came out so I grew up with his music and loved it, but I knew very little about his life other than what I'd seen in the media, and I honestly had no strong feelings about him as a person either way. I walk out of this trial completely understanding why he has so many fans who practically deify him. Who are so strongly attracted to his kind spirit, huge heart, gentle nature, love of his children and mother, etc. I totally get it now.

Every single witness who was questioned about whether they thought MJ was a good father (and almost every one who knew him closely was asked) sang endless praises about his love of his kids. If Prince's testimony is any indication, MJ was definitely a great father. The kid is bright, intelligent, caring, has great character and a great personality, and I truly believe MJ did a phenomenal job raising him in the few years he was able to. Honestly, every single juror came away feeling very positive about Michael Jacksonas a person and father.

I know there was concern about MJ's image being hurt because of this trial, and maybe to outside viewers it was because of some of the details that came out. But for us in the jury in that courtroom for all these months, we just grew more and more fond of him during the course of the trial.

I'd like to say thank you to all the people I've seen here supporting us jurors in our decision, it really means a lot. I will be happy to answer anything I can about the trial if you'd like to ask and if I am able.

I don't think you have much to worry about on that score. There is no appetite for the truth about Michael Jackson. The Wade Robson thing has been completely ignored, just as the Jason Frascia thing was completely ignored. MJ's anti-semitic rant was completely ignored. The truth is too inconvenient. You have nothing to worry about.

Exclusive new details about upcoming work-in-progress Michael Jackson album revealed!

http://www.damienshields.com/exclusive- ... -revealed/

It’s no secret that Epic Records, spearheaded by its CEO, LA Reid, is putting together a new album of unreleased Michael Jackson material. Timbaland spoke about it. Fred Jerkins spoke about it. It’s happening.
One thing that has not been made clear is exactly when the album is scheduled for release. Despite a host of producers, musicians and DJs speaking publicly about their contributions, Epic Records and The Michael Jackson Estate have remained quiet about the whole thing, leaving Jackson enthusiasts to wonder about the finer details – until now!
Dr. Freeze, the man responsible for writing and producing “Break Of Dawn”, a song from Jackson’s ‘Invincible’ album, was kind enough to give me some fascinating insight into the direction of the upcoming work-in-progress project.
“It seems to be coming out in the Spring of 2014,” Freeze told me exclusively.
Many fans had speculated that the new album, like 2010′s controversial ‘Michael’ album, would be rushed out to capitalise on holiday season sales during the 2013 Christmas period.
However, timing doesn’t appear to be the focus with this project. Instead, the focus is on delivering a quality product that all sectors of the Michael Jackson fan community can enjoy and appreciate in one way or another.
The label recognises that delivering a product which will satisfy the appetite and taste buds of Jackson’s entire fan base is likely an impossible task. So, in an effort to at least partially please most of the fans, they’re taking a much different approach; an approach most fans would have liked to have seen taken back in 2010 with the ‘Michael’ album.
The new album, at this stage, will go with a “then and now” / “past and present” type theme, featuring both new remixes and original versions of unreleased Michael Jackson recordings.
“I’m not on the album; just my songs,” explained Freeze, whose unreleased tracks “A Place With No Name” and “Blue Gangsta”, originally recorded by the King of Pop in 1998, will be freshly remixed by new producers for the album.
“Both old and new versions of both songs are on the album to satisfy both sides of the fans,” Freeze revealed.
“Which producers are remixing your songs for the album?” I asked.
“Not sure yet. It’s still up in the air right now,” he responded.
Super-producer Timbaland, most famous for his work with Missy Elliot and Justin Timberlake, believes he’ll wrap up his part of production by the end of the year; and he’s already predicted (prematurely, perhaps) that the lead single will be a song he remixed, called “Chicago”.
“I can tell you the first single is gonna be the song ‘Chicago’ … I think it should be, because ‘Chicago’ sounds like today,” said the producer.
“So last night I heard some of the new tracks Timbaland is doing for the King of Pop… WOW!” tweeted DJ Freestyle Steve, Timbaland’s official DJ, after a private listening session.
“To all the Timbaland & Michael Jackson fans; just know Tim did an amazing job with Mike’s vocals. The world will love it,” he added.
With songs like “Slave To The Rhythm” and “Do You Know Where Your Children Are” being remixed and considered to feature alongside the previously mentioned Freeze tracks “A Place With No Name” and “Blue Gangsta” fans should be in for a treat.
The recently leaked “I Am A Loser“, written by Brad Buxer and Jackson in 2003 (or “I Was The Loser” as its 2008 version is called), could come into consideration, as could tracks such as “Escape”, “She Was Lovin’ Me” and “Can’t Get Your Weight Off Of Me” from the 1999-2001 ‘Invincible’ sessions.
But like Dr. Freeze said; “It’s still up in the air right now.”
Songs you can count on not being included; the infamous ‘Cascio tracks’ – three of which have already been released and nine of which remain unreleased.
The Estate have communicated to fans that no more Cascio tracks will be included on any future Michael Jackson releases following the uproar they caused in 2010 when questions over the authenticity and origins of their dubious vocals were raised by Jackson’s family and fans around the world.
Although “Slave To The Rhythm” is one of the tracks being considered for release, it’s unlikely to appear in the form of a duet with Justin Bieber. An incomplete mix of the posthumous duet, produced by Max Methods as requested by Tricky Stewart (who is currently the president of A&R at Epic Records – under LA Reid) was leaked online in August to the displeasure of many MJ fans.
To clear things up The Michael Jackson Estate, via their mouthpiece ‘The MJ Online Team’, issued the following statement:
“For those who have been asking about the recently posted recording of ‘Slave 2 The Rhythm’ by Michael and Justin Bieber, this recording was not authorized and has been taken down,” later adding, “It is unauthorized and therefore there is no intention to release it.”
There are still major doubts as to whether Jackson’s fans will ever hear the unreleased music that originates from some of his later collaborative ventures, including a three-year period in which he worked sporadically with Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am.
Jackson is said to have recorded just a few songs during his time in the studio with will.i.am, including titles “I’m Dreamin”, “The Future” and “I Will Miss You” as previously cited by the producer.
However, will.i.am has been very vocal about putting out and/or finishing Jackson’s incomplete work. He deems it disrespectful, calling The Estate “parasites” and accusing them of not honoring the King of Pop back when the first posthumous album was being put together.
As a fan, I would personally love Epic Records to release the original, untouched demo of “Hollywood Tonight” – perhaps as a bonus track or iTunes exclusive on the upcoming album. Although a remix of the track features on the 2010 ‘Michael’ album, I feel that the demo version - written and produced by Jackson and Brad Buxer - is so good that fans need to hear it.
Based on the above-mentioned titles alone there is enough material available for Epic Records to release an extremely strong album featuring several hit singles.
Just for fun, I’ve listed my fantasy track list below. The album would be two discs, each with the same songs. Disc one would have the new versions and disc two would consist of the original versions. “Hollywood Tonight” (Original) is a ‘Bonus track’ and would feature on disc two. The “Then, Now” portion of the title is a literal interpretation of the album’s content. “Forever” represents how Jackson wanted to be remembered. As one of music’s few immortals.
Michael Jackson: Then, Now, Forever

1. Escape (New version / Original)
2. She Was Lovin’ Me (New version / Original)
3. Do You Know Where Your Children Are (New version / Original)
4. Slave To The Rhythm (New version / Original)
5. A Place With No Name (New version / Original)
6. Blue Gangsta (New version / Original)
7. I Was The Loser (New version / Original)
8. Can’t Get Your Weight Off Of Me (New version / Original)
9. Chicago (New version / Original)

BONUS TRACK: Hollywood Tonight (Original)

“I always want to do music that inspires or influences another generation. You want what you create to live, be it sculpture or painting or music. Like Michelangelo, he said, ‘I know the creator will go, but his work survives. That is why to escape death, I attempt to bind my soul to my work.’ And that’s how I feel. I give my all to my work. I want it to just live.” – Michael Jackson

This is really cool tracklisting.

"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

the jury made the right decision, but katherine made the wrong one. when murray is out of jail in the next few weeks he'll be trying to make the media rounds, looking for money and probably receiving some. katherine will be sorry that she didn't attempt to get restitution from him then.

The Jackson family just LOST their bid to hold AEG Live accountable for Michael Jackson's death.

The jury ruled AEG Live did hire Conrad Murray. That's huge. The jury then ruled Conrad Murray was NOT unfit or incompetent to treat MJ. Katherine and the kids lose.

So here's the thing. The question that ruined Katherine's case was whether Murray was competent to handle Jackson when he was hired, and the jury said he was. Ironically, a jury in the criminal case ruled Murray then went off the rails and did things that ultimately killed MJ. But because he was competent at the outset -- the Jackson family lost.

And your point is?

Obviously Murray wasn't competent enough to be Michael's doctor. He wouldn't be dead, if the was, but also obviously, there was no way for AEG to know that he was uncompetent, as he was a certified doctor and there was no history of him killing his patients. His financial situation could have been a red flag, but still it would go a bit too far for an "employer" to check financial records of an employee and still wouldn't prove that he would be as reckless as he did turn out to be.

^^Ah, so you think AEG could and should have known what is going on nightly in MJs bedroom??

While I think that AEG is morally also to blame, they put unnessessary pressure on Michael, which sure as hell wasn't needed and certainly didn't help him in his situation, I don't think they can be held responsible. If Michael and the doctor tells them, that he is fine, what the hell are they supposed to do? Cancel the whole thing against his will to save him?

"I was a kid when I worked for him - here’s the cool thing about that, Michael Jackson and his team were rehearsing for a big show that they were doing in New York. So they had three rehearsal days. So there was only me and one other cat - like the real chef, I wasn’t even a chef yet. I was basically assisting him. We put up like three different meals a day, but between the meals? We got to sit out there - there was nobody out there except for like, dancers and people who needed to be there. We got to sit there and watch them rehearse. I got to watch Michael Jackson order his brothers around, all of them were there. I heard Michael Jackson say “fuck” - in person. I mean who could say that? He cursed his brother out, he cursed Tito out. He said to Tito, “Tito, if you fuck up again, I’m gonna put you on a plane to Afghanistan.” Yeah, it was crazy."

Oh, because the 'F' word is so much more offensive when Michael Jackson uses it right?

If this is true, it's non-controversial...it's not MJ's issue that other people perceive him as soft and meek and therefore expect him to act that way.

He was always as tough as nails...and if he wanted to use that word in frustration...so be it.

I have heard/read many stories of MJ cursing and using a high speaking voice, as opposed to his normal speaking voice. Obviously there is some truth to it, has these recollections are made public.

Thanks for posting. Awesome story!

That is funny. Sounds like something Eddie Murphy would say in a joke about the Jacksons.

You know this is really funny, but its also sad that MJ spent his whole public life wearing this mask. I guess it was all a part of the myth he constructed.

lol lol lol Thanks this was funny!!!

Alot of people think the whole "soft" spokeness was a facade. I think it partially was and it partially wasnt. Michael was naturally shy and especially on camera. If someone is around someone they feel comfortable with of course they are going to show the "real" them and let loose. Everyone doesnt deserve to see the "real" you especially vultures like the media who will just take advantage of it. MJ tried doing that but he got mocked. So the reasons as to why he was private, shy etc shouldnt be that shocking. Cursing makes someone normal? lol I think people need to stop being so judgemental of these celebrities. Just because they present one thing to you doesnt mean its really what it is behind closed doors but this goes for regular people too. Thats not Michaels fault, thats peoples fault for lacking common sense lol
