Nothing personal, but I'm not waiting for anything mentioned in the above thread.

I would like to see:

Prince

D'Angelo

George Michael

Adele

Maxwell

Santana

Lenny Kravitz

Not sure if I'll see anything from these folks, but it's on my "wish list".

From the list, I'm curious about Black Sabbath and since Charlie Wilson has a new single, I guess he's getting ready to release an album. But who I'd like to release something are:

Swing Out Sister

Basia

The unreleased songs by The Original 7ven

Chante Moore

Brand New Heavies

The Jacksons

Tasha Taylor

George Michael

Tears For Fears

Giovanca

Lisa Stansfield

En Vogue as a group or solo

Did you get Tasha Taylor's last album? I thought about getting it, but never did.

For me, the only anticipated releases for 2013 that have been already promised by the artists are Chaka Khan, Anita Baker and Mariah.

It's pretty good and my mom likes it too, and she doesn't really listen to younger acts.

For right now

Bon Jovi - First single is out January 7th and the tour starts right after it, album to follow in the spring.

Pretty much everything else is just rumours and nothing confirmed.

U2 they are working on things but 2014 looks like the year its coming

Elton John this is coming in 2013 just when is the question, it got bumped from late 2012 to early spring 2013, but who knows

Adam Ant is coming very soon

Duran Duran will most likely NOT get a new record out in 2013 but they are heading back into recording

Other 80's acts are all finishing up new records, Howard Jones, Simple Minds, Air Supply, Colin Hay

Also new "Fortune" this is JD Fortune of INXS's band i saw them live and its got a cool sound and his vocals are great.

Paul Wakktaar Savoy from a-ha is working on new music with various artists, rumoured with his other band Savoy with his wife, also Norwegian Artist Sondre Lerche.

Magne Furuholmed from a-ha also is finishing up an EP and lead singer Morten Harket who just had a solo record is finishing up another set for late 2013

re-issues- Some INXS stuff is in the planning, some unheard material is on the horizon, the band is planning alot of stuff for 2013, with their music.

Im sure in there will be surprises, Prince im guessing will have something but im not holding my breath on it, but i think by the summer he will have a new album.

Id list Mariah but she needs a reality check, that single she had this year was possibly the worst song of the year

I agree with a lot of the artists mentioned here. But I'm also wondering about Janelle Monáe, she said she was going to release two albums this year and I was looking forward to them, but nothing happened. Hopefully they come out next year.

Well sony signed the jackson estate to a huge contract for the rights to MJ's vaulted songs so i'd love to hear some unreleased mj.

As for James Brown, I really feel sorry for him because his estate doesn't seem to care at all. Come on Give us JB live mexico 1978 or something. Give us something like the olympia 1971 (ik its been released) of that quality. Or a DvD

Would Love to hear some New Motley Crue because there last album Saints of los angeles was great.

Jimmy Page is Going on Tour so i'd love to hear a new Jimmy Page or Zeppelin related album.

Agreed, it's sad that nobody seems bothered about releasing any of James' vault material. For starters, he was supposed to have recorded some tracks for a new album in 2006, not long before he passed, including a collab with Joss Stone (who I'm no great fan of biggrin). I wonder what happened to those recordings? One track from these sessions was released on a Mojo Magazine free funk CD in 2005-06 and was a pretty strong late era James funk track. Then again, I'm not sure of the level of interest there is in James material these days, although I guess there are plenty of old skool funk fans who'd be interested in anything un heard from 1963-c.1974.

I for one am keen to have another good Michael album or two of late period vault material. I mean, he has killer tracks like Blue Gangster and Escape still unreleased (but leaked) from his last decade or so, and as they are modern recordings, they would presumably need little tampering with by other hands to prepare them for release.

Jimmy Page keeps threatening to release a new album or go on tour every other year, but nothing ever emerges. He's kind of the D'angelo of rock in that regard wink . Personally, I think he's still holding out for Robert Plant to have a change of heart re. new a Zeppelin record/ tour. Let's hope Jimmy or Zep do get into gear soon, 'cos none of 'em are getting any younger.

Also, I am looking forward to a new Paul McCartney rock/ pop album next year, his first of all new stuff for a few years.

Maybe Prince will release something...

er

Not exactly new, but Bob Dylan is planning 2 new volumes of his Bootleg Series: outtakesfrom 1969/1974. Blood on the Tracks was one of his best albums and there is an unreleased version of it, so this could be good. In the "wishful thinking" category, I wish Prince would do something like this!
