lol Do you know she only allows the left-side of her face to be photographed? She was on Oprah once and you know how Winfrey was always on the right? She made them switch the entire set around so that she was on the right and Oprah was on the left.

Mariah has her annoying moments but she's nowhere near Streisand/Ross level.

I doubt Mariah is that much of an egomaniac. Matter of fact she seems like she'll be fun to hang around. Diana seems fun too when she loosens up. But Barbra? Barbra is ice cold homey. lol

Babs, definitely Bab. Ross has mellowed with age and Mariah is crazy in the good kind of way

I would think Barbra. I don't see Diana as having tried to assert quite as much control.

Babs is out directing movies and starring in them and singing in them and having the men all fall in love with her in them even though she's playing a boy in them...

love this quote by Joan Rivers when asked about Streisand.

"Barbra is so involved in her own life. When I do see her, she always asks, 'So, are you still in the business?' And she's not making a joke. She has no clue what anyone else is doing."

Well at least Barbra has the voice to back that ego up.

I still to this day can't see how Diana initally made it.

Weak ass voice and about as much sex appeal as Missy Elliot i.e. so average looking.

...But eventually had so many amazing songs

I don't know a lot about Barbara so I'll have to go with Diane on this one. Whenever I have thought of the word "Diva", Miss Ross has always been the very first woman who pops into my mind. I have never heard stories about Barbara that have come close to the ones I've heard about Diane.

Even Mary's like "whatever". She's tired of singing that same old song. Like she said "it happened 29 years ago". Why dwell on that? And that's only one incident that was confirmed to have been committed by Diana. Anything else I've heard is speculation to me. I still would fucks with Diana. Barbra? Hell nah. lol

lol Now, you know if Diane pushed Mary, Berry & Diane would have never allowed it to be televised and the footage would have been immediately destroyed. machinegun

Apparently, during the making of "Motown 25", when the surviving original Supremes and Cindy Birdsong agreed to reunite, the original plan was to do four songs together. Diana, who was sick with influenza at the time, said she thought she and the others "would be cool just doing 'Someday We'll Be Together'", which ironically enough, was a song Diana had never sung after she left the Supremes (though Mary Wilson, who wasn't on the original recording, still performed it onstage after she left the group). The Supremes actually didn't even rehearse their number like the others had done (even Marvin rehearsed) so they came real unprepared. Mary, who was then in good cahoots with Cindy at the time, told her that instead of staying in the background as they had done during the Ross years, they would move at the same time as Diana. I don't know if the push actually occurred as Mary said because from what I saw, she looked like she was high on cocaine ( eek ) and Diana might've moved in her direction bumping into her by accident. To make matters worse, producers had already decided that Diana should bring Berry Gordy to the audience and Mary Wilson was unaware of this apparently and decided to do it herself, Diana stopped her before she even did it whispering "it's been taken care of" and then proceeded to do it herself. The other Motown acts surrounded the stage as soon as Berry came to stop any further problems.

There's no footage of it to this day. It's alleged that footage may have been burned a long time ago. Same thing could've happened when Diana and Patti got into it (that was the mic toss incident) at Motown Returns to the Apollo in '85 when Diana took Patti's mic away from her for oversinging everyone else ( lol ). Someone else gave her a microphone and she was allowed to finish much to the chagrin of the others who had to try to wrestle their part in while Patti wailed (again). falloff

It's actually more funny than tragic. Just women acting a fool onstage. Nowadays Diana's so mellowed out she don't even tell anyone to turn their cameras off. eek Aretha's still feisty. But man, Patti... sad I saw some of her recent concert footage and I think girl's aging rapidly than Aretha and Diana. eek Now that's sad.

Like Kitbradley said, destroyed. But i read about it in Call her Miss Ross. Diana, Cindy and Mary stood together on stage, Diana took a few steps forward, Mary followed. Diana then took another step forward so that the other two would stand behind her again. Mary followed, then Diana pushed her.

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see that!!!

You`ve read call her miss ross, Harle?

It's a mess because not only does she have diabetes (which could be affecting her performances, I'm serious, I'm worried about her neutral) but she also has menopause (doesn't menopause go away for women in their late sixties?) and survived child molestation and was nearly sexual assaulted by Jackie Wilson, which could continue to bring nightmares to someone. So you're always cautious around her because, like you said, she'll be nice to you and call you "sugar" and everything, and next minute, she'll slap you or hit you and curse you out (I've read reports of her doing this) and then (sometimes) apologize to you later. confused

Barbra always struck me as the one who thinks her shit don't stink and would have a mad problem with you if you didn't agree with the way you were doing things. Dionne Warwick struck me the same way for some reason.
