What Are The Though's On The Lauryn Unplugged?

Opinions seem very mixed, but i dig the accoustic songs. And it's for sure some of her best writting imo!

The songs, as she introduced them and delivered them, was deep to me. I liked the set. Unfortunately my set skipped so I threw it out and can't find it in stores nowadays. neutral

i haven't heard it in its entirety. may get it soon to "take it all in", but i know SEVERAL friends who LOVE it. it was labeled as a masterpiece by the New Yorker or Rolling Stone I think. i recently sent it to a buddy of mine who relocated to Kenya. the parts i've heard, her guitar playing is underdeveloped, but her writing and emotion are there in spades!

People have commented on her ''guitar'' skills. But she gets by with such passion with the chords she know's...

Hell i ADORE & i mean ADORE Cat Stevens but he does really simple stuff on guitar, but damn he make's it his own. And hell even Some classic Dylan i was able to learn within not even a year of when i was first learning guitar wink

I really liked a few of the songs, but overall I think she needed to scale back a little bit. It was just a bit self indulgent and she could have at least played one or two of her classics.

L Boogie was in some deep rooted pain so it wasn't gonna be a "greatest hits" show that night. What'z was beautiful was how the audience gave her that space 2 breathe and work thru it, and u can't put a price on that...

I remember being 10 or 11 and flipping the channel when Lauryn's episode of Unplugged aired because she wasn't singing the hits I knew up to that point. Ironically I heard I Get Out on Pandora and I was blown away by the words of that song. It speaks to my struggle at the moment.

But at what point does it change from Lauryn's in pain to Lauryn is fucking crazy?
