Best 80s Movie Soundtracks

of course PURPLE RAIN is #1 for me

but I also love 'Footloose" and 'Breakin'

I paid $400 for this a few years back.

It was reissued last holiday season and can now be bought for less than $20

Not exactly a soundtrack, but I like it.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I'm surprised nobody mentioned "Flashdance".

My personal favorite is probably "The Terminator" theme.

I love some of the songs from "The Last Dragon" soundtrack too... boxed
