that's a JAM right there! The best song on the album.

I´ve been a fan since Emergency on PE (still one of their best) but I never really GOT Dynamite and this last one.

Ok, there are good songs on each album and I include songs in my playlist on my pc or USB car-stick but I think I really got to listen again to remember wich are best.

(Seven days...and Don´t give hate...are the only I remember from Dynamite!)

Anyway, I love Jamiroquai and like every "older" artist some of the later albums

just aren´t THAT great...that´s just the way it is. To bad the record company releases this so late in the US!

It doesn't matter what is released as a single. In the US, Jamiroquai is considered a "one hit wonder".

Oddly,with this album,the record company focused on slow tracks as singles: "Blue Skies" and "Lifeline".I like both of these songs,but Jamiroquai is more known for their uptempo jams.I would have chosen "All Good In The Good" as the first single,then followed it up with "She's A Fast Persuader".With some killer remixes,these songs would have at least done well in the clubs.

True,but there's more to the world than just the U.S. Jamiroquai has done quite well in other countries.

I'm aware of that, but since the thread is talking about the US, they're not likely to get played on the radio. If they were popular, the album would have been released here in the first place, not two years later. U2 albums get released here the same time as other countries. It's like I know Swing Out Sister albums are usually not released in the US, and if they are, it's way after it's been out in other places, particularly Japan. So I have to buy an import.

A couple of days late and a lot of dollars short... I'm almost certain everyone in the States who's a Jamiroquai's fan has the album/music already. Damn dumb, there's no such thing as an European, US, or Asian only release anymore.

In this era of downloading,regional releases don't make any sense That's an outdated concept.Release the album everywhere!

You don't have to buy an import...just download it That's why I think regional releases are silly.All it really does is encourage fans to download it illegally,thus losing sales.I think it's a safe bet that most Jamiroquai fans in the U.S. already have a copy of Rock Dust Light Star,in some form or another.

Yep... just more proof "record suits" and artist have their heads in the sand.

If I get a chance I'll glance the vinyl release... if it's interesting (artwork/liner notes etc) I'll get it.

Not for me. I've never downloaded anything. I always buy a product. Usually I buy the record, if there isn't a record version, then I'll buy a CD. Or if it's something I don't care that much about or the CD has extra songs then I'll get that, because a new release vinyl generally costs $25 or more. It's even more if you get a 180 gram or an audiophile version of an album. Audiophile albums are 45 RPM instead of 33, which means less music can get on one record, so an album that is one record winds up being 2 records, a 2 record set = 4 records, and so on. Most new release albums wind up being 2 record sets because they stick more music on 1 CD. The last Esperanza Spalding album (Chamber Music) has 2 extra tracks on the vinyl that's not on the CD.

I have the CD of Rock Dust Light Star (the deluxe version) but I'm gonna buy the vinyl record this weekend at Record Store Day it's a limited edition and I like to collect things like that.
