Did U guys hear Randy Jackson & Steven T. comparing that off keyed DeAndre to Our Prince???

I ean just cause the guy TRIES to sing Falsetto.. doesn't mean he is Prince.

He's not my favorite but I will say what he did made me think of Prince the entire time. And I thought he did it well. He's 17 years old, cut him some slack! It was interesting that steven and randy seemed to think so too.

When the kid grows a little and gains confidence, watch out.

Really? I like him and think he's quite talented. He's oneof my faves on the show. I'm hoping he wins if not Colton Dixon. By the way, I call DeAndre Milli Vanilli.

My favs so far are Jessica, Colton and Phil. The rest can all go away to me. I just hope I don't have to hear Deandre or Elise very much longer. ....especially Elise. I can't stand her voice.

I will agree with you about 1 thing.. Yes, he Does "remind" me of Prince with his fallsetto.. and if they would of said something like THAT.. that would of been cool..

I loved Coltons "Paino Man" last week. really good. :O) Oh Gosh I agree Elise is SOOO annoying.,. Do you ever notice how Bitchy she looks all the time?

I miss the days of David Cook , Adam Lambert, Carrie Underwood etc....

There was one noise that he made last night that I thought sounded Prince-like. And at times his falsetto can be pretty, but he doesn't hit his notes very consistently.

I'm a Phil fan this year.

I haven't been following American Idol. However, I did watch X Factor with that contestant that they kept calling Prince-like on there. I forgot his name. These talent competitions need to stop throwing the name of legends around so casually.

DeAndre is cool...love his voice, and it should be ripened in a few years.

Also, Joshua reminds me of Terence Trent D'Arby live....I'm surprised they haven't compared those two, very similar voices....gruff n stuff.

U right...I sometimes forget that this "Prince world" that is the Org does not translate to the "real world" all of the time....TTD and DeAngelo are pretty front and center here, but are almost forgotten by the public.

Reminds me of when I showed my mom Sanjaya and she made a Prince comparison too, and I was not impressed.
