The Insider reported last night that Whitney had some jewelry worth approx. $500 million and actually showed armed police/security guarding her plot. How long will they have to do this? Seem like if the family was going to bury her with that amount of jewelry they would have put her in a private masuloem like Michael Jackson especially knowing that the tv media would have it blasted exposed on their show. They even talked about the fear of grave robbers on the show during the same segment....

Its $500.000 not 500 million. I seriously doubt they left that jewelry on her....

Seeing as she was not interred directly after the funeral leads me to believe that 1) they did remove the jewelry or replace it with paste; 2) the casket was sealed; 3) the casket is encased in lead or stone before interment.

If it's encased, they aren't going to have enough time rob it or move it.

I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

I bought this magazine the other day. I thought it was a bit pricey but it is a collectors edition and I like Whitney so I had to have it. The pictures they used are very beautiful and I like how it shows the different periods of Whitney's life and career. Overall, it was a very nice tribute to the astoundingly talented and beautiful Whitney.

She really was great and i'll always miss her

So that is why they have round the clock arm guards????

Like SUPR I don't believe they buried her with that kind of Jewelery and I don't know if you ever saw someone buried as of late but in the grave there's a cement box that house the casket and then they through the dirt on top of that.. I believe the guards are there just to stop anyone who might be thinking of disturbing the site since that story was published about her being buried with the valuables.. once the grave settles they won't be there anymore

Since it's been almost ten years, let's bring this back up. The footage of Whitney and her daughter now seems sad in retrospect and Whitney's comments about Clive being a Svengali is very telling now that I know what Svengali really means.

That is a lot. But way least then I paid for a concert program. But good enough for "The Voice".

That's from 1997. She was singing for the opening of that stadium. It was in tribute for former Olympic winners I believe.

Whitney had a very ruff upbringing than I ever thought...I see how she had to go take ransom money to get Bobby released from drug dealers he owned money to. They wanted half a million. She had to be pretty tuff to go do that alone..

I read that. I think she was on cocaine for a good 20 years before she finally admitted it.

giggle I agree! Even in the interview with Diane Sawyer, she first denied it than later she admitted to it, in the same hour. Whitney knew how 2 party. She lived a full life. But was cut way too short. What is sad she said she felt old.....She accomplished a lot in her short years & opened a lot of doors for other female singers..That is why Aretha was jealous of her..

She denied she smoke crack (which is a cheaper form of cocaine) but admitted to cocaine, possibly the powder kind. She all but admitted she did crack in the Oprah interview, but she called it "rock cocaine" and even then she still was like "well we didn't do crack" but she did. She and Bobby were smoking that primo (cocaine-laced blunts).

Diane specifically asked her in the beginning of that interview about certain substances she used on why she was so skinny and one was cocaine. She shook her head no. But then later admitted to it.She didn't admit to it until after Bobby came out & left. Bobby was definitely using primo before Whitney. They don't call it primo anymore. He may have started sniffing coke with Whitney. She definitely had the look & actions of someone on crack...I thought she was hilarious in that interview....

Yeah she did. I actually thought she wasn't gonna admit to it. After that denial of crack, I thought "oh" but when she said she had tried cocaine, weed, pills and alcohol "at times" I was like "whoa" at first but at least she admitted. As a fan I just wanted her to get well. sad Bobby definitely was on that primo before he came back home (and snooped in on Whitney's interview like a burglar lol), remember he was always wiping his face because he was sweating profusely.

I hadn't heard this Whitney song in years. Underrated jam...Dance song with a universal, motivational message. Probably the closest she ever got to singing a gospel-like song during the 1980's phase of her solo career.
