I was just thinking the other day if Arista would ever release an expanded edition of "Who Zoomin Who". Deniece Williams' "Hot On the Trail"? FINALLY!!!!! But, I'm trying not to get too overly excited about these until I see them posted on their website. Remember, someone posted here last autumn that Stephanie Mills' "Tantalizingly HOt" and "Merciless" were scheduled for reissue in November 2011 but they have not surfaced.

According to their facebook page, funkytowngrooves will also release the long-awaited "Burn", "Portrait Of Melba" and "Peach Melba" reissues from Melba Moore.

Following is an announcement from Big Break Records. It seems funkytowngrooves is beating them to the punch with some of these reissues. First, it was with Evelyn King's "Face To Face" now it's with a couple of the Andre Cymone albums.

Some of you have been asking questions with regard to our recent release schedule so I want to address the issue. Every single clearance we receive from the major labels are requested well in advance of our announcing their release. As many of you know the wait can be long and at times frustrating for fans. This is why we make a commitment to release each of our artists full catalogue of albums in... the UK whenever we possibly can. We know that once we start working on an artist's catalogue, most of you want us to continue until you have the full set.

Occasionally other labels will get the clearance to release some of these albums in other territories. I would like to stress that we bare them absolutely no ill will whatsoever and genuinely wish them well with all of their releases. We do not see this as a reason to change our plans and deny our loyal fans or the UK market in general a BBR edition of an album that we feel we can bring something extra to. We know that customers will make their own informed decisions about what they want to buy and we are happy that the music we love can be available again.

We appreciate your continued support. I hope that clears the matter up.

Tell me about it. I can't even begin to tell you how heart-broken I was when it was announced that Penny Ford's "Pennnye" was announced as one of the first Total Experience reissues but ended up being one of the delayed titles. They are swearing up and down we'll get it this year but they still are not committing to a date.
