I read on the JET issue that she's working on a jazz album... how long has she's been working on her new album? Three years? Is she trying to go for Stevie Wonder's record of releasing a record every decade? I think she's better off doing live shows for the rest of her life.

Uhh, what part of the "I'm a political consultant" don't you understand? I work on congresional campaigns and actually am working on the top congressional campaign in this country right now.--Yeah, I don't follow politics

I may not know much but I know my political strategic ish.

Patti's bodyguards beat down a West Point cadet --the most prestigious military school in our country--- and afterwards she took pictures with people in front of the bleeding kid as if nothing happened. (All on video.)

While our country may be divided on a lot of issues, the one thing it's in agreement on is you don't disrespect our soldiers and that's exactly what she did. That video is a powerful visual and it's damning and if Obama's opposition would get wind that LaBelle is floating around his galaxy. It will be used against him during the re-election campaign. Why you are bringing up the Clintons, Obama's inaugural and Obama being black and elected President (all things that happened prior to Ms. Lulubelle having her thugs go crazy on a West Point student) is beyond me.

Reminds me of Anita Baker,who said a few years ago that she is working on a new album.She mentioned that Snoop Dogg would be appearing on it Why even talk about a new album if it's not a sure thing? Some artists shouldn't discuss new music unless a release date is set.

Patti LaBelle was not pleased when a toddler scooted past her in an apartment lobby.

Rhythm-and-blues diva Patti LaBelle was accused Monday of screaming obscenities at a toddler and throwing a punch at the child's mother outside a Manhattan apartment house.

Kevin and Roseanna Monk made the allegations about LaBelle's encounter with their daughter Genevieve in a lawsuit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court.

The Monks' lawyer, Sam Davis, said Genevieve, then 18 months old, was scampering around the lobby of a Riverside Blvd. apartment building on the upper West Side in November when LaBelle, in full star regalia with oversize shades and a fur coat, started yelling.

"'What are you doing letting your kid run around like that?'" Davis quoted LaBelle as asking Roseanna Monk.

He said LaBelle, a mother of five whose real name is Patricia Louise Holte, then started "screaming at my client, throwing water from a bottle at the mother's face and the baby's face."

Davis said Monk, a kindergarten teacher, scooped up her child.

"'Are you happy that this is what you have done to this baby?!'" Davis said Roseanna Monk asked the singer.

At that point LaBelle, "tries to take a swing" at his client, he said.

LaBelle's entourage then shoved her into a black car and the baby violently threw up all over her mother, Davis said.

One of LaBelle’s representatives declined to comment, while two others did not return calls.

Davis said the Monks would have been satisfied with an apology from LaBelle, a temporary tenant in their building while she appeared in “Fela!” on Broadway.

They decided to sue, he said, when they read about an incident in Houston in which LaBelle’s hairdresser and a bodyguard were accused of assaulting a West Point cadet.

“Violence seems to be part of their road show,” Davis said.
