Oh please, no La Isla Bonita, I'm so sick of that song. I think she should put in Like A Prayer and Music or Ray of Light. I'm not sure about 4 Minutes. It was a #1 hit, but I think most people kind of forgot that song. Madonna has had hits over a long period of time. She shouldn't just do her hits from the early 80's. She should pick hits from all periods of her career plus the new song.

The program director meeting in Chicago concentrated on the Queen of Pop herself, Madonna. Everybody was evenly split on whether or not Madonna should play the Half Time Show at the Super Bowl this year. Some said both Madonna and the NFL could score big, while others said that if there is anything goes wrong, it will be the end of Madonna as we know it.

“Janet Jackson’s 2004 performance instantly ended her career,” said program director Jared Spelling. She went from being an international icon to a huge joke who has nothing left but to milk the death of her more talented brother—all because of a little mistake. The Black Eyed Peas are pretty much over after last year’s debacle. I still believe Madonna has life left in her and don’t want to see it end because of a poorly-received performance.”

Others brought up the fact that Madonna has a very good track level in television performances. “People have been complaining all over the Internet and some have made downright nasty comments. These are the same people who will have their eyes glued to the television set during the performance. This woman simply is amazing on stage,” said Ted Duarte from WBBM in St. Louis.

If Madonna does play the Super Bowl (and she is very close to signing on), her plan is not to play a bunch of butchered up songs, but rather two full songs with a two minute preview of her new single, which could be called “Trust.” The only other song she is definitely performing is “Like a Prayer.”

those are the exact three songs that she performed at Live8 lol do you really want her to repeat herself?

As for 4 Minutes....it was her last big hit and I think the marching band sound would fit perfectly on a football field. But I'm not suggesting that she do the entire song..... just use the music as her intro.

What does that matter? Live 8 was a long time ago. People probably forgot what she did at least the general public. I think she should limit herself to one early 80's song like Holiday.

Ouch! eek

Am I the only person who thinks that the Black Eyed Peas' performance wasn't that bad? Can't see why they got such awful reviews.

hmmm

Hmmmm I don't know if I buy it.

Madge would be a fool not to perform the full single it would mean BIG exposure. Also Like a Prayer seems like an odd choice to pull out a full performance of for a superbowl halftime show unless she has some big ideas for it. Songs like Music or 4 Minutes would seem like more obvious choices.

Also isn't Trust supposed to be a ballad?

Grrr all this lack of concrete information is enough to make me go bonkers.

I think performing only part of the new song is a great idea.It will act as a 'teaser',if she just did the first verse and the chorus.People will be going crazy with anticipation. She should release the single on iTunes the very next day to take advantage of the momentum.

"Like A Prayer" will work, but I'd like to see her do something different with it.She'll probably have the choir and whole bit, which is fine, but she needs to do something she hasn't done before.Make this song sizzle!

I hope she does "Holiday".That'll be a perfect song to kick things off.And bring back Donna and Nikki!!!! I wanna see the two of them there with Madonna, just like old times.

Yes,"Trust" is supposed to be a ballad.Maybe it would be a good idea to slow things down for a few minutes, with an amazing new ballad?

I think going with an unfamiliar ballad is pretty risky, unless it really is as killer as she is hyping it to be.

Dropping the single the next day certainly would be a smart move, but maybe dropping the album would be smarter. Having the single out and maybe attached to an apple campaign (I've heard rumors her single may be the song for a new apple product) would be a good way to capitalize on some momentum.

Despite what that article says,I don't think that "Trust" is gonna be the first single from her album.Madonna hardly ever chooses a ballad as the first single from an album.I'm betting that the first single will be a kickass uptempo dancefloor track, which is what she will debut at the SuperBowl.

From what I have heard, the promotion for the new album is gonna be bold and aggressive. She and LiveNation/Universal are pulling out all the stops.

I agree, besides we already heard all the talk about "Around The World" being the first single. I think it's safe to say we aren't gonna have any concrete first single for another two or three months.

I'm ready for some promo. I am gonna stan the fuck out on my twitter.

Harsh but not exactly untrue. Sure she is held in high regard by plenty, as she should be, but if you're like me and you were barely a teenager when her tit popped out at the superbowl that is probly your biggest memory of her. After that radio shunned her and the media mocked her. The only reason I got around to listening to her is bc my ex boyfriend was super into her. Other than on my own Ipod or on the org I really don't see or hear much about her.

nod They're like the Internet version of Fox News. It kind of scares me how many people don't know that they're essentially a site where any idiot can publish an article, without any sort of editorial oversight. If I knew more about Google SEO I'd launch a campaign to push them way down in the rankings.

I kind of see where DAV123 is coming from.

I've seen loads of Madonna shows, so I know she'll put on a great show, that's not what worries me.

Super Bowl just seems a bit too...commercial for her, a bit too obvious. And I know she's done lots of commercial stuff before, but coming off the back of Hard Candy which was her most commerical, "lets see what's selling well in the charts / what the kids are listening to these days and copy that" album, this doesn't quite feel right. I wanted to see something a bit more leftfield, less obvious for her next musical outing...

Madonna's new album 2012---First exclusive details

Dear Madonna's loyal fanatics, I am very much glad to start my collaboration with DrownedMadonna.com. I am an insider, working in the industry, but require anonymity, so just call me MITK aka Man in the Know. I decided to collaborate with this website because of their past exclusives on previous albums and tours, and also due to the new layout which is absolutely fresh, professional and cutting-edge, the perfect format for a leading, modern devoted fansite.

To launch my collaboration with DM I have some interesting news to share on Madonna's upcoming album. You've already heard some information, mainly the involvement of such names as William Orbit and Jean Baptiste Kouame - Madonnarama.com broke the news. You may even have heard some fake rumors too! Here are a few of the facts which I can share at the moment.

William Orbit is the 'wizard', the brain behind the new album, while the Free School, a collective of co-writers and co-producers, with Jean Baptiste Kouame as the primary songwriter, are the "tailors." Jean Baptiste was introduced to Madonna by Benny Benassi.

The new album will see extraordinary beats and sounds. The production is going to be rich, innovative, sophistacated and elaborated, in much the same way as "Ray of Light" previously. Besides amazing samples, the songs will see also live instruments, mainly guitars.

The lyrics are going to be deeper and elaborated. There are some Kabbalistic and spiritual topics, but I defy anyone to find them all! It's funny that after 13 years from the release of "Ray of Light," Madonna and William Orbit are working on a track, whose title reminds of the universe and the sky.

Madonna's album will incorporate a variety of styles including pop, dance-pop, hip-hop and electronic music with some rock guitair riffs. The tracks will mainly consist of up-tempo and dance. Some bits have echoes of Kelis' "Acapella" and Chris Brown's "Beautiful People" in my opinion.

Some vocal effects are added to her voice, but this remains subtle and well styled, the end result won't see an excessive use of vocal editing.

They are TESTING on single tracks, the collaboration of artists like KiD CuDi, Annie Erin Clark known under the moniker St. Vincent, Nervo and others.

The new album is tentatively seeing the collaboration of producer and hip-hop beat-maker Emile Haynie, known to have previously worked with sucessful big-name artists such as Eminem, Kanye West and KiD CuDi.

Madonna has adapted finally finding a fresh and edgy sound. This album will be, once again, a new change of direction. But if with "Hard Candy," to wink at the American audience, the result was not so convincing and 100% Madonna, this time we are going to have an extraordinary Madonna-brand sound which will definately be a commercial success.

William Orbit flew to New York to work on some tracks with Madonna, he then moved on to Los Angeles to work in the studio with the Free School whilst Madonna kept on working in her New York studio. Collectively they've already finished a lot of songs, about 8, but…not enough for the album. Also some of the songs that Jean Baptiste wrote for the Free School's next album have been reworked for Madonna. Now Jean Baptiste and his group flew to New York to work with Madonna in the recording studio and finish the tracks whilst Orbit is currently working in London. The album will be finally mixed between the end of the year and the new year, in Oakland or Las Vegas. William Orbit is expected to fly to the US.

Prepare yourselves for a masterpiece, the album of the decade... something that will go down not only in Madonna's history but also in the history of music.

I disagree.Madonna needs to take this golden opportunity. When it comes to promotion, she needs to step up her game. The Super Bowl is a fantastic way to kick off this new era.All eyes will be on her.For the first time in years,a new Madonna single has the chance to reach the widest possible audience.Madonna is beginning a new chapter in her career, post Warners. She's gotta come out with a bang! No more half-assed promotion, like what we saw with Hard Candy.Time to use the heavy artillery.

Most fans feel this way. That song had 'Top 10 hit' written all over it.Why even bother doing a catchy,radio-friendly song with Kanye West if you're not gonna release it as a single?! nuts That was such a wasted opportunity.Hopefully, she won't make that same mistake with the new album and its singles.

Madonna might work with St. Vincent. eek

This article got me really excited, but I'll be dissapointed if it turns out Madonna herself doesn't have much to do with the actual writting process, on the other hand whatever she has to do to make another masterpiece is fine with me.

On Madonnarama.com I saw that she does write most things herself with a little help of William.

There is going to be some spiritual lyrics in the songs too, so I'm almost 100 % sure that there will be a lot of lyrics writen by Madonna herself.
