Player - Baby Come Back & Ambrosia - How Much I Feel?

This is not a versus thread, I wanted to get your opinion on these 2 songs, "Baby Come Back" by Player and "How Much I Feel?" by Ambrosia. Post your opinions about these incredible songs and once again, its now a versus thread.

As I mentioned, this not a versus thread, so you can anything you want about the songs w/o choosing between them.

1978! love

"Baby Come Back" is one of those songs I identify with my childhood. Not so much with this Ambrosia song, but I grew to like it alot. "I Keep Holding On To Yesterday" is the one I love alot by them.

Both songs were pretty big back in that year, they were all over the radio airwaves.

They still are any soft-rock easy-listening station in your area would have both groups on their playlists.

Both groups to me sound so similiar but I have to go with Ambrosia How Much I Feel'

Player's 'Baby Come Back' I now associated with the 'Sweeper' commercial. I hope they're getting a nice check for the rights to the song.lol

The reason why I was saying that they were big songs, because at the time, Disco music was saturating the radio airwaves (most of the Disco music I liked) and they were a good alternative and a good break away from it.

I love both songs. I remember being surprised that Ronn Moss (aka Ridge Forrester from "The Bold and The Beautiful") was the bassist in Player.

Really? I never watched "The Bold and The Beautiful" but I did used to watch "As The World Turns" and that show used to come on right before ATWT so I'd have my TV on in the background beforehand waiting for it. I remember one day back in the 1990s, seeing his character turn on the stereo and playing "Baby Come Back" as he wined and dined his date for the evening.

lol It was probably a brief nod to the fact that he was in the band.

Thanks for the info. I never watched 'The Bold and the Beautiful' but I remember his face being plastered all over the soap operas magazines. Never knew he was a musician

It was also during the time that compilation CDs of songs by various artists were really first starting to take off so maybe he tried to spark a memory and start people to looking for the song after recently hearing it. I know I went looking for it afterwards. Although, I doubt they get much money from those compilation sales. lol
