The awards mean nothing. It's about the music.

Please man, don't even. When Musicology was big on the charts in 2004 and 3121 hit #1 in 2006, Prince fans were creaming their pants about Prince's "comeback" and talking about how wonderful he was and how excellent it is. Then as soon as you talk avbout Michael's chart achievements, it's "ZOMG RECORD SALES DON'T MATTER PRINCE HAS REAL MUSIC!!!!!!!!111111"

To be fair, neither of you were old enough to have any concept of the environment at the time. And people were not creaming themselves for Musicology and 3121. It was still as mixed as it is today.

You want to see cream? You gotta go back a long, long ways. Prince has gotten exceedingly harsh criticism since about 1985.

You can say that again. lol

And I didn't mean creaming for the albums themselves, but for the chart success that they achieved.

we don't have to prove michael to anyone, because he's already done it him self, he will be forever known as one of the greatest of all time, breaking COUNTLESS records, is in the top 3 best selling artist OF ALL TIME, he has the biggest selling album IN THE WORLD.. and has revolutionized music, music videos, and dance FOREVER.. to sit here and argue is just dumb.. we all know how great michael is/was,

because unique turned this into a bas mj forum rather than discussing vocal ability he rather argue about artist who have lip synced, so i wanted to put that to rest and simply say i have nothing to prove, because michael has already proved himself.

It took about... I wanna say just a couple months for 3121 hype to sour. By the time he did GMA, the org was pissed off at him again. lol. smh. (Though they had a right to be mad at him for that pink/blue outfit and that hair.)

Bro, I never cared about awards, so you can't speak for me. I don't care if Prince had 18 Grammys, I wouldn't bring it up in a debate. When me and my friends have a Prince and MJ debate, they constantly bring up awards, and never music. I simply tell my friends, "listen to Sign O' The Time."

Awards are pointless.

Bad is a great pop album but it is no Sign O' The Times, although I do prefer Bad myself. Dangerous and HIStory together are Michael's Sign O' The Times, in my opinion.

biggrin Partially yeah. I basically came out of the womb moonwalking, and I've been raised on Michael. That's why I will probably always love his music more than Prince's.

im the same, lol.. and i think michael in my opinion, that of coarse biased.. but as a "musician" prince would beat just about anything, with him playing almost every instrument i can think of...but as far as a performance artist, im gonna go with michael,

IMO, lets not turn this into another debate lol

I think...hmm....they are way too different to compare. Michael is great at what he did, but Prince was WAY more experimental. But when Michael wanted to be there, he was THERE. I mean, Stranger In Moscow, They Don't Really Care About Us, Who Is It, etc... damn. I choose Prince only because he didn't care and released whatever he wanted to no matter what. Michael was too safe.

I see what your saying. I like asking people that question because the real music lovers always say you can't compare them. I told my friends that they can't compare an artist who made a song about vaginas, to a artist who talked about changing the world.

Michael, Prince, Freddie, whoever, they were all DIFFERENT artists that appealed differently to people. When are some gonna get that through their skull? To compare them would be ridiculous. The only reasons they compare are they're male, exhibited a strong androgynous image, were powerful performers and have/had soulful voices. Other than that, not much similarities.

the truth of the matter is the MJ fanatics on this site are a bunch of tolling cunts infecting this site with MJ shite everywhere. there's a fucking thread set up specifically to discuss him, so people should fuck off there with thier stupid fucking videos and stupid fucking images and no cunt wants to see them on a fucking freddie mercury thread

trying to say MJ who mimed during every fucking solo tour in his life is a better singing than freddie mercury is a fucking joke

now let's put this simply. if you aren't a fucking troll, shut the fuck up and don't post back on this thread again. leave the adults to get the thread back on topic about freddie

WE are the trolls?

since when is saying someone is a better singer than someone who mimed in all his solo tours hating?

it's people like you that took a freddie mercury thread down the dumper with all your fucking MJ shite. you lot troll this fucking site jumping on any fucking reference to MJ and posting fucking pictures and videos like it's 4chan. how old are you?

http://istyosty.com/tmp/cache/57009890616cb83ae17c20e70d09c279571fdc97.html

Pellicano claimed he dropped Michael Jackson as a client because he 'did something far worse' than molesting young boys.

'I quit after I found out some truths.

'He did something far worse to young boys than molest them.'

this is the guy you adore so much. there's a thread on him where you can post shite all fucking day about him, and there are plenty fan webshites where you can post. this is a prince fan site and we are discussing freddie mercury, yet you troll and bait and flame and post shite after shite about something off topic that no-one gives a shit about apart from the other half dozen MJ fanatics

nothing you will say will change anyones mind. nothing. so you are just wasting your time by trolling here

Actually, YOU posted a long post about Michael, leading to this discussion.

We're discussing male vocalists. Michael is a male vocalists. And YOU made the first post that started it all. lol.

And do you really think that tihs "Anthony Pellicano" guy can be trusted? Huh? How come he didn't speak up when Mike was alive. As we always say, dead men can't defend themselves.

Actually, nothing YOU say will change anybody's mind, and YOU are the troll.

Back to male vocalists, please...
