A while back, I was on a MAJOR Simon & Garfunkel kick... music

My favorite by them:

"Love Hurts.
Your lies, they cut me.
Now your words don't mean a thing.
I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..."

What's that song where they go "Lie, lie, lie. Lie, l-lie, lie, lie, l-lie.."? Apparently it was a dig at Dylan.

"The Boxer", but I hadn't heard that, so I Googled it.

According to Wikipedia, it has been said that it was a "sustained attack against Dylan", but Paul Simon said that it was more about he was feeling- that he was being unfairly criticized.

I have had Bridge Over Troubled Water for years but only recently acquired most of their other albums. The songs are great and I get that they have incredibly passionate fans but there's something about Paul Simon that I just can not fully embrace. Maybe it is the "rivalry" with Bob Dylan. I'm a much bigger fan of Dylan so if I had to pick a side it would be with Bob. I don't know what it is but there is something about Paul Simon that I find disagreeable.

I'm looking to try some of his solo albums next, maybe they will be more to my liking.

One thing that modern music is really missing, particularly in "rock" music, is great singing. I have to give Simon & Garfunkel a ton of credit for how great their voices sound together. I would love to hear more of that kind of singing in today's music.
