JERMAINE JACKSON MJ Tribute Promoters Are Using My Mom

Jermaine Jackson believes the promoters of the Michael Jackson Tribute Concert are crassly taking advantage of an 81-year-old woman -- otherwise known as Katherine Jackson -- to "prop up its event."

Jermaine just went on a Twitter rant, claiming Global Live is using his mom. And, he's particularly pissed at Global Live for its initial decision to have KISS perform, given thatGene Simmons has publicly accused MJ of being a hardcore child molester.

Jermaine tweeted, "I'm appalled as all fans that Global Live booked an artist like KISS after all Gene Simmons had said about Michael. It doesn't matter KISS' invitation is revoked. This mishandling reinforces my view that this promoter is getting it all wrong..."

Without, but I was hoping I'd find the one with the dove. I also found Diana Ross Presents The Jackson 5 for 1.99 but didn't buy it. I also found Ben, Music And Me, and Got To Be There, but NOT ONE COPY of Off The Wall or Bad mad

I'm re-collecting because my mini vinyl collection was lost a couple of years ago

Ahh, the extended mix. It's on the 12' vinyl. I saw that too and was going to buy it, but decided to wait until next week.

I almost fell to my knees when I saw the Prince section. Sign 'o The Times on vinyl in nearly perfect condition for $3.99 eek

Alot of stores out here were cleaned out when he passed. The MJ sections were usually full until June/July 2009

So it's not a 45 it's a vinyl record single? OK I'll keep an eye out for it, possibly ask the stores I go to order it for me, I was told they would be getting shipments of more Jackson records, though I have most of them already and am missing very few.

a 45 is a vinyl record single lol

the 45 aka the 7' inch usually has the same content, but probably has the single edit instead while the 12' inch version has a extended remix and other mixes. The 45 may have the extended version though as it's only 6 or 7 minutes

Was there a difference?

My version on vinyl has the dove - first issue copy. All my vinyl is first issue - one of the benefits of living through it all.

Never knew there was a without version.

Yeah, after the first copies were sold, they removed the dove on the cover

Yeah, on the cover of the first press versions of Victory,Randy has a dove on his shoulder. All pressings after, the dove was gone.

On the "Victory" thing, I think Michael insisted on adding a dedication to Marvin Gaye on the liner notes aswell. Swa does your album have the dedication?

Every copy I've had has the dedication along with an acknowledgement to Teddy Pendergrass

lol

I remember reading the reason but forgot why

In another version of the cover before they released it, Randy had the dove and Michael had a mustache lol

Victory is my favorite Jacksons album cover, with Destiny coming in second. They should've released a "Victory" special comic book because the cover had so much potential

So Katy Perry equalled MJ's record for 5 #1 off one album - congrats to her.

Here is a great article about it that compares the two successes.

MJ ESTATE to LLOYD'S OF LONDON
This Is It. Now Pay Up!

0817-michael-jackson-lloyds-EX

The Michael Jackson estate is tired of waiting for Lloyd's of London to pay out on the $17.5 million "This Is it" insurance policy -- so they're going after Lloyd's in court ... demanding they pay up, stat.

Lloyd's of London originally issued the policy to cover potential losses for MJ's 2009 "This Is It" concerts -- but earlier this year, the company asked an L.A. court to declare the policy null and void ... claiming MJ lied about his medical history and drug addiction.

Lloyd's insists the policy "was restricted to losses resulting from accident only" -- pointing out Michael's official cause of death was "homicide."

But the estate is now on the offensive -- filing a cross-complaint, claiming MJ never intended to die, whether by homicide or not, so his death still qualifies as an accident.

But the estate isn't just settling for the original $17.5 million -- they also want punitive damages. FYI, suing for punitive damages often scares the crap out of insurance companies.

Will.I.Am Says Justin Bieber Can Be Like Michael Jackson…or Prince

Love him or hate him, 17-year-old pop sensation Justin Bieber is taking over the world, one 12-year-old at a time. For some time, many have compared the young star’s success to that of international icon Michael Jackson, and Black Eyed Peasfrontman Will.I.Am is making sure that he is added to that list, telling Radio Disney that he doesn’t see why this kid isn’t the next MJ…or Prince. Seriously.

“I was with Justin Bieber in the studio two days ago, working on his newalbum, and we had a really great conversation,” he revealed to the radio show, via MTV UK.

“Justin Bieber could be like Prince. Justin Bieber could be like Michael Jackson, where his career is like, ‘Wow! Explain [how] it’s 2030, Justin Bieber, [and] your career is so long. You’re the first artist to be broadcasted to Mars. How do you feel about that?’ Justin Bieber could be that dude.”

So what exactly was the conversation about?

“That’s the conversation we had, and then we started working on things from scratch like here, right. I wanted to do something with Justin that probably no other producer would do or took the time to think about to do,” he said. “You know, I’m excited about the stuff we’re making.”

First of all, no Radio Disney kids should be listening to Prince, and secondly, PRINCE!? Really?!
