I posted this on KOP

Craig David don't sound too bad now, huh? lol

but joking aside, this is really embarrassing and I hope they fix this mess SOON because if they keep up with this f*ckery, there ain't gonna be a "Michael Forever" tribute to go to, because Michael Jackson fans are NOT going to support this

I'm one of those fans who respect The Jackson Family for the good things they've done but also criticize them for their bullshit and THIS is one of those times I GOTTA criticize them. Their reputation is already in shambles and their credibility is shot, that's why they had to get with this no name promotion. Had their rep and cred been still been in good standing, they could've gotten LiveNation or another major to sponsor and fund this

I want to know who thought it was a good idea to have Gene muthafukkin' Simmons on the card, because that person HAD to be smokin' something that clogs their brain

I didn't know he would die but something was off too. I was supposed to feel relieved I resolved something bad going on but still didn't feel good. Was supposed to go to a funeral but missed it and it was raining a lot, and that reminded me of a family funeral from over a decade ago and how it rained, but didn't think much of it. Even 2 hours before I learned, shortly after Farrah, I felt awful and then when coming online, I was calm and freaking out all weird at the same time with a thousand thoughts in my head, yet silenced as it was unfolding. It was not the first time I would get MJ warnings but it still shocked me. I had a premonition the night before the 2003 neverland raid too. I know a lot of mj fans have spoke of having a sixth sense about him, I wonder what it all means.

Other mj fans I lost touch with for years told me that even a week before the death, they connected out of fluke and then it happened.

But I was still shocked, I wondered why I didn't feel it right away that he was gone when it was happening, I guess I was in a daze and shocked to believe it or feel it at all. It was becoming clear over the days that I did get signs but ignored them.

Timmy, what were these strange posts? I was on, but can't recall.

About helicopters around his house. And then ambulance. I didn't know if it was true but that had me concerned. An hour passed before I knew what was going on. Then I came here and well, there you have it.

There was helicopters circling for an hour? I guess I forgot that too. I guess I got online too late then, like 5-10 minutes before his death was confirmed, then taken back to say coma, then confirmed and everyone going RIP. That is when I found out. I wonder what I would have been like if I came online and found out he's gone, I came just in time and knew it happened before they said it and in disbelief sad

It was night over here when this was happening so I found out after Jermaine's press conference and all that.

It was evening when it happened here. I can't believe I was replaying the day in my head over and over for over a year. It really felt like an emotional whiplash, like getting an injury you don't feel immediately thinking you're fine, but as time seeps in you feel pain in different forms and it zaps you without warning like you're being pinned down, whether through tears, anger, denial,or physical symptoms. Now I don't think of that day everyday, but I think of him being gone and good and bad memories and I'm trying to focus on improving my own life cause of getting too obsessed and not believing this guy is gone cause now it feels like he is though for over a year, it didn't and the thought of it was making me cry, I even cried again last night though I hadn't in awhile

KISS signed up to pay tribute to Michael Jackson in an October concert.

KISS signed up to pay tribute to Michael Jackson in an October concert.
STORY HIGHLIGHTS

Musicians who played in Jackson's touring band for the past two decades will also reunite as the house band for "Michael Forever: The Tribute Concert" in Cardiff, Wales, according to promoter Global Live Events.

Kevin Dorsey, who served as musical director for several Michael Jackson tours, will also direct the October 8 show, it was announced Monday.

Katherine Jackson, matriarch of the musical family, appeared on CNN Monday to discuss the show, which will also include performances by her children and grandchildren.

"I know he would be very excited about KISS," Michael Jackson's mother said.

But fan reaction posted on the concert's Facebook page was negative to news that KISS would perform.

"This is a complete disgrace," wrote one fan. "You can kiss your audience goodbye folks. I doubt whether any self-respecting fan will pay a penny to see that man after the comments he made about Michael. I'm shocked this act was even considered."

Many of the negative comments referred to a story published by the Canadian Press a week after Jackson's death on June 25, 2009, quoting KISS leader Gene Simmons concerning sexual molestation allegations against the pop star.

The promoter appeared unaware of the controversy Monday when CNN asked for a reaction.

It appeared unlikely the tribute stage would be the scene for a reunion for the surviving members of the Jackson 5. Two of the brothers, Jermaine and Randy, have publicly objected to the show being held at the same time Michael Jackson's doctor is on trial for his death.

"We want to make clear that this does not reflect the position of the entire family," the two brothers said in a joint statement after their mother and four siblings endorsed the show.

"While we wholeheartedly support the spirit of a tribute that honors our brother, we find it impossible to support an event that is due to take place during the criminal trial surrounding Michael's death," Jermaine and Randy Jackson said.

Dr. Conrad Murray's involuntary manslaughter trial begins in September and is expected to continue through October.

"The trial is very important and I can understand how Randy and Jermaine feel, but it's been two years," Katherine Jackson told CNN Monday. "I thought it was a good idea; I'd like to keep Michael's legacy alive."

Katherine Jackson plans to attend the trial, although she will miss some days to fly to Wales to attend the show with Michael Jackson's children, she said.

"It will be on a Saturday when the courtroom is dark," Paul Ring, a Global Live Events executive said.

Members of the Jackson family taking the stage October 8 include several of Michael Jackson's brothers, "the next generation of Jacksons," and 3T, which consists of Tito Jackson's three sons, the promoters said.

Alternative rock band Alien Ant Farm and British R&B singer Craig David are also on the bill.

"This concert will unite various generations and musical genres, reminding everyone of just how amazing a talent Michael was," Ring said.

Fans can "register their interest for tickets" online at www.michaelforevertribute.com.

The concert in the Wales Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, which seats 75,000 people, would be at least four hours long, Global Live Events CEO Chris Hunt said.

A spokesman for Michael Jackson's estate said last month that the promoters never sought or obtained permission from the estate's executors to use the late pop singer's name or image.

"The estate has not been contacted and is not involved with Global Live Events in the UK tribute concert announced today," spokesman Jim Bates told CNN at the time.

Wow is he really that desperate...I just listened to his interview that he did right after MJ's death and he's like saying "Let's celebrate his life, achievement and all the good works he did but let's not forget what he did behind close doors. " So I guess he's one of those people who firmly believe MJ was guilty but gives credit to MJ as an entertainer mad He sounds like he believes everything Tabloid magazine has been printing out about MJ for the last 2 decades...

You know, I'm still upset about the family but someone brought up religion and I started thinking of how Michael wrote on Moonwalk that his mom did unexpected things, like when some stranger showed up bleeding, she let him in though it was scary. What if she forgives Gene or he gets it now? But her naivety can lead to something unneccesary happening, like him speaking negatively bringing on bad publicity. And I still don't get how she could allow someone with those awful beliefs be involved, maybe there is selfishness on her part, but it is also selfish to rip fans off and displeasing them as the estate later was implying. Maybe she feels KISS performing will lead to a change of heart or something like that though we are seeing it as a naive thing to do and distasteful, but I still don't agree with it. She should have just forgiven him and left it at that, and found another band who loves him to pay tribute. Maybe U2 if she wanted someone on the A-list.

FYI....

MICHAEL JACKSON TRIBUTE CONCERT We're Killing KISS From the Roster

The promoters of the Michael Jackson Tribute Concert have heard fans loud and clear -- Gene Simmons, who has accused Michael of being a pedophile, and his band KISS, have been dropped from the roster.

There was a flurry of criticism after TMZ posted a story ... that Gene said last year, "There is no question in my mind he molested those kids. Not a doubt."

The promoters tell TMZ, "We have listened to Michael's fans and are grateful to have been alerted to these unfortunate statements by Gene Simmons. Under the circumstances we fully agree that even though KISS is a band Michael admired we have no choice but to rescind our invitation to them to appear in our tribute concert."

The Estate had fired off a letter to the promoters yesterday, expressing their displeasure over KISS performing at the concert.

I can't see Christina Aguilera wanting to be associated with this charade. Don't she got her own career to worry about? She might drop out next especially if she's told "you can't sing your favorite Michael Jackson record" unless she sings like "Who's Loving You" or some shit lol

Tribute concerts I could care less about. I haven't even followed that whole story. My interest is getting concert footage or studio footage on Blu-Ray/DVD, certain books (ie: Joe Vogel's), and the unreleased music if it's left untouched. That's all I would like.
