Exclusive: Beyonce to Receive Billboard Millennium Award

Beyonce KnowlesAlthough Beyonce Knowles may already don the title of Queen B, Billboard is making it official, awarding the superstar with 2011's Billboard Millennium Award.

Knowles, who has been topping Billboard's charts since 2003, will be honored May 22 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, hosted by funny man, Ken Jeong. Her influence on the industry as a Sasha Fierce performer, actress and producer has cast her as a true living legend -- only magnified by her union with equally influential music master, Jay Z.

The 'Single Ladies' singer will also be celebrated by her peers, Cee Lo Green, Nicki Minaj, Pitbull, The Black Eyed Peas, Rihanna, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum and Taio Cruz who will all perform in salute to the diva.
Born and bred as a founding force behind Destiny's Child, she had us all saying her name before she went solo. From there, Knowles has gone on to win 16 Grammy Awards and shattered Billboard records with hits like, 'Beautiful Liar.'

It's no doubt that Knowles knows how to 'Run The World (Girls)' and her fourth studio album, set for release later this year, will continue to lead her from Destiny to reality.

I thought Kim's name is "The Queen Bee," right? Either way, while Beyonce is one of the greats, and Kim was alright as a FemC, neither one of them are queens of anything. lol In their respective genres, those titles are currently owned by others, lol.

Billboard Millennium Award?!? eek

Isn't this the kind of award that you give to people like Michael Jackson, Madonna, OR Mariah Carey? Seriously, WTF has Beyonce ever done to get an award like THIS so early in her career?

I wanted to look it up but the closest thing I found was Billboard century award, artist of the decade award. Must be something new? Who cares anyway it was voted by fans lol I personally don't think these awards are credible.

Somebody will jump and say she can, and will also split the Nile in a good day.

When did Beyonce start writing press releases?

Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

She better try to get some type of award about the same time of her release, because her Run The World ship has sunk.

Its going to be interesting to see how they handle the lackluster response to the first single. I don't think the release of the video will help much either. This single has the potential to be the most brief cycle of her career. I anticipate a new "leak" radio single shortly after it debut. Maybe a week or two after its release.

They may be recalibrating her entire album now due to such a weak response. Christina Aguilera, Ne-yo, and others last year ran away from their projects at record pace. Well see how this works out with Mrs. Carter...

I'm still shocked that they chose such a whack song for the first single.I don't like Beyonce's music, but I'm pretty sure there has to be some better tracks on her album.

They probably thought they were being "edgy" as a way of competing with her contemporaries. As always with her, she tries to hard. Subtlety is not in her vocabulary wink. We'll see what else they got. I'm sure they're nervous, right about now...lol
