Cop: Bobbi Kristina cited for underage drinking but not arrested

It's got to be hard when your famous parents are always making the news for the wrong reasons.

And Bobbi Kristina Brown, daughter of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston, has made her share of headlines, too.

But the latest reports of her arrest, sparked in part by a story in the National Enquirer, are wrong, Lt. James McGee with Roswell police told the AJC. Several other entertainment websites also published stories, some reporting that the 18-year-old could face jail time.

Bobbi Kristina was part of an incident involving two groups of teenagers about three weeks ago, McGee said. A gun was involved, but no shots were fired. The whole thing may have started as the result of problems between a boyfriend and girlfriend, McGee said.

"By the time officers arrived, everything had calmed down," McGee said Monday night. "... Nobody was taken into custody."

Citations were issued for the gun and underage drinking; Bobbi Kristina received an underage drinking citation, but was not arrested, he said. Those who were cited will have to answer the charges in court.

That's what happens when you neglect your child and parade your substance abuse in front of her. I have no doubt Whitney loves her child, but she fucked up as a parent. I was shocked that when I saw Being Bobby Brown, that Bobby seemed the more stable parent-relatively speaking.

Whitney was a terrible mother, but it's common sense not to drink when you're underage and hang around with kids with guns.

It really isn't. She truly didn't learn from her parents' mistakes and even worse, she's only 18.

I laugh sometimes at this whole train wreck but really this is very very sad. I hope there is a rainbow at the end of this horrible thunderstorm that is pouring down on this family.

Seems like children of drug addicts often become addicts themselves. Kids really do learn by observation. So sad.

Seriously, being old enough to remember Whitney and Bobby being young I can remember when Whitney would do interviews she always sounded kinded weird or like she was on something Bobby was just a bad boy, but I don't think he was the one who started using drugs first I think it was her who got him into it and I agree with the Rick James thing

No I wouldn't because the girl certainly turned out way better than I would if her mother was my mother. I only heard her mother on a radio or TV but if I had to hear that damn singing of her's on a daily basis, day in and day out, straight from the source of the voice and not be able to turn it off and make it stop, I'd be locked up in a damn crazy house somewhere because I would have sewed a zipper on her damn mouth.

I was too busy laughing at Prince banning her mother from his concerts. Every time I think Prince has finally lost it and I'm about to give up on him, he turns around and does something to show me that he's still a cool ass motherfucker.

Me too. I saw some recent pictures of her. She looked relaxed and less like she was intoxicated.
