I would say the Spinners are pretty well known. Happy about the Ohio Players. I wish they would do the Marvelettes

sad I'm hoping someone does a documentary on them soon. They're truly the UNSUNG heroes (as far as recording artists) of the Motown label. Them and Mary Wells. It's like when they did Florence's story. It was good but she's WELL KNOWN.

IT would be interesting if they did Bobby Womack and Mary Wells the same season

I'm not a fan of Bobby, but he is definitely an Unsung artist. He doesn't get the credit he deserves at all.

BDK though? I thought Kane was once revered as one of the best. He seemed to get his due in his prime to me. Sure he never really had a big crossover hit (as far as I can remember), but why is that a criteria for "success?"

I'm looking forward to Alex's ep.

Maybe we'll finally get some dirt on Niecy. That woman is too squeaky clean!

They should do more groups. Maybe folks like Skyy, Con Funk Shun, Slave, Lakeside, One Way, etc. that people know about the music but not much about the groups' personal lives. I'd really like to see one on Cameo and find out all the dirt on Wayne Cooper.

They may do one on Cameo but I doubt they'll get into what happened with Wayne in terms of his death. I could see them doing Slave, Con Funk Shun and Lakeside too. They seem to have interesting histories.

I hope the Deniece Williams story is good. I consider myself to be a pretty big fan of Niecy's. I hope they do her justice and dig a bit. I don't think I can take another "glossed over" episode. I want details about working with Stevie and EWF. I also want details about working with George Duke and Johnny Mathis.

I'm also excited about The Spinners. I really want to learn more about Philippe Wynn from the people who knew him. I also want to know about their history at Motown.

I also am looking forward to the one on Alexander O'neal. He could have been so much bigger after the All True Man album, but he released crap after that and no one was interested in him anymore.

Him being a homosexual in an all male group in the 1970s and early 1980s would make the story extremely interesting. Did the rest of the group know he was gay? How did he get along with the rest of the group? Did the rest of the group give him respect and treat him as an equal? Did he sleep with any of the other band members? How big is Larry's dick up under that cod piece? lol

Cause this show jumped the shark a season ago. I stopped watching these things once I realized kids in kindergarden could research, edit and execute better shows.

What's wrong with that? I don't understand why people have to hear gossip and negative things about others.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I gotta say I'm looking forward to them all but, Alexander O'Neal "Unsung" is the one that I'm really interested in. That's gonna be cool.

Not necessarily dirt or gossip because there was a period she admitted being part of the rock and roll lifestyle (drugs, sex, etc.) and that can explain why she became born again in the early 1980s.

ALEXANDER O NEAL FUCK YEAH! I hope they interview Jam & Lewis and Cherrelle for that one. That would be dope. Also would be nice if they got Monte in there being as he produced "If You Were Here Tonight".

Count me in as another person that wants to see a Cameo episode. Regarding Wayne Cooper, I talked to Charlie Singleton recently and he told me that he worked on Wayne's solo album and it was SLAMMMMIINNNNN but after Wayne died the label decided not to release it.
