Yep.

Another case of Chinese whispers. There was no actual comment on it from her people. Just a lie that was begun by a gossip rag that caught fire cuz people are desperate to tear this woman down.

http://www.cnn.com/search...intl=false

No results.

http://www.google.com/sea...ga+madonna

No results that even touch CNN.

It's a bullshit story. Madonna never commented on it.

jeidee

if her god sent her those "lyrics".... wow. idk.

calling them lyrics is a stretch.

reading them seems to me what a 9 year old german boy who misinterpreted an english bible story explaining his thoughts in german and then translating them into english. without any assistance.

"In the most Biblical sense,
I am beyond repentance
Fame hooker, prostitute wench, vomits her mind
But in the cultural sense
I just speak in future tense
Judas kiss me if offensed,
Or wear ear condom next time

I wanna love you,
But something's pulling me away from you
Jesus is my virtue,
Judas is the demon I cling to"

hmm. somehow i feel dumber trying to figure this profound content out. vomits her mind does sound about right.

She Acknowledge it

I consider it part of my life's work and music to push the boundaries of love and acceptance.
My apologies for not speaking thoughtfully. To anyone that was hurt, please know that it was furiously unintentional
An honest mistake, requires honesty to make.
Whether life's disabilities, left you outcast bullied or teased, rejoice and love yourself today." - Lady GaGa

1. The song does sound like "Express Yourself", whether it was knowingly lifted or not. There's no way they DIDN'T realize before the song was released, especially when it was written over a year ago (she mentioned it was written not long after Alexander McQueen died, which was in early 2010). There's no way that not a single person, producer, A&R, management, record label person, or engineer wouldn't have mentioned this. They were trying to get away with it. She even admits herself it has the same chord progression. Not smart. Doesn't matter if a million people have used it, the fact remains that it was used in a BIG song by the very artist who she has been aping in many ways for a long time.

2. Admittedly I haven't read the ENTIRE interview, but if the reporter is being aggressive and "bullying" as some have suggested, you STOP the fucking interview. One of the benefits of being one of the biggest pop stars on the planet is that you can do that. Most artists a lot less famous than her do it. A friend at the BBC interviewed Nicki Minaj recently. Beforehand, she was a given a list, with a handful of topics on it. Nicki's management said if any of these topics come up the interview would be terminated and they'd pull their permission to let them use it. Breaking into tears and whining that "god sent you the lyrics and melody" is utterly ridiculous. And while I'm not saying it was an inauthentic display of feeling, people already see her as an attention whore and this ain't gon 'help.

Honestly, I feel like she should have just taken another year out and written some better fucking songs in the first place, and some more original ones at that. She can do it. As I've said a few times, I loved "Fame Monster", and aside from "Alejandro" sounding like Ace of Base and "Teeth" sounding like "No Diggity" (which is OK cos Teddy and his daughter produced it), it was an original sound.

All celebrities are attention whores.

Even the ones who aren't really famous. Ain't that right? smile

I can hear a bit of the melody of the verses of TLC's Waterfalls in Born This Way's verses (and I'm shocked it's never mentioned), but I just do not hear Express Yourself's melody the way other's claim. She's not even singing the verses in the same rhythmic time that Madonna is singing the EY verses. There is a tiny bit of similarity in the chords, but the way people talk you'd think it was the exact same Pat Leonard beat with Gaga siging the BTW lyrics over it.

As for the interview, I really think the entire thing needs to be read to get the full picture. From every interview I've seen her on, she's been the picture of calm and collected. Everyone has an off day, and, no matter how thick your skin usually is, if people are going to keep throwing shit your way, in spite of the fact that you're always succeeding, it will still get to you. The more shit people throw her way, the bigger she gets, so, at the end of the day, they're really doing her more good than harm.
