The KOP still exists.i post there very occasionally, bboy and timmy do too. I think it's improved a lot over what it used to be like.

Is that the alwayskingofpop site or another KOP one? Because the site I just mentioned is pretty sane and moderate.

Interesting - Jason Malachi has closed down his facebook / twitter account.

Could be going to cover. Could be a cover up. Could be him closing it down as a result of being hacked.

Either way the dude needs to give an interview and declare one way or another.

How did you feel about the acapella of him singing his own song? Did it sound to you like the same voice as on Keep Your Head Up Monster and Breaking News?

So apart from the 3 obviously fake tracks: B-News, Monster, H-Tonight.

Anyone else think THE START of "Best of Joy" sounds weird.

A line or two in sounds like a non MJ smurf.

Hollywood Tonight is NOT a Cascio song and is 100% legitimate.

Dumbass.

The a capella of him singing obviously has similarities to MJ and to the tracks for sure (but he has based his whole singing on MJ so you would expect that).

I'm not saying there isn't similarities and doubts - obviously there are.

But listening to some of MJ's a capella's such as Butterflies you get a similar vibrato.

The sad thing is if Jason has sung on the album and tried to pass it off as MJ then that is a total disrepect to the fans and Michael himself. If it is Michael on the tracks, then all this confusion has only hurt his reputation as well.

Personally if I was running the estate I wouldn't have included those tracks if there were doubts. The whole thing has tainted the listening experience of the album as a whole.

And on a side note - some of the production on tracks is questionable - why on earth ruin a great song like behind the mask with that crowd intro and bridge - it adds nothing to the song.

Sadly I think in trying to complete songs and make them sound more like a MJ recording many of the tracks become almost caricatures of him with the over use of woos and hoos.

MJ's 'Moonwalker' -- U.S. Movie Debut Imminent

"Moonwalker" -- a collection of short films made by MJ in 1988 -- was never released theatrically in the United States ... but one L.A. movie theater is finally trying to make it happen ... for one night only.

0119_moonwalker_EX

TMZ has learned Arclight Cinemas in Hollywood is on the hunt for a film print of the 1988 cult classic ... after MJ fans flooded the A.C. Facebook page with the challenging request.

According to reports, "Moonwalker" was never theatrically released in America because of failed negotiations with U.S. movie distributors back in the day ... however the flick was eventually released in The States on VHS.

FYI -- "Moonwalker" featured a super-iconic 25-minute featurette for "Smooth Criminal" ... which included an awesome cameo by Joe Pesci.

Arclight claims they're actively searching for the print -- we'll let you know if the search succeeds.

And I really dont feel like checking their facebook page.

ArcLight Cinemas updated their facebook status saying this:

For all the fans who were hoping to see Moonwalker, we have bad news. It’s not available.WB no longer has the rights, so it took a bit to find who did. We contacted the films directors and producers and were finally directed to MJ’s estate attorney. They let us know the estate has the rights, but “have no plans to make prints available for rent at this time.”We wish we could have screen this for you.

Why a prince site is the best place to discuss Michael Jackson.

Last night at dinner I was talking over stuff with another big MJ fan and she was asking me where I get my news or stuff from and I told her about the prince.org - cue shocked expression on her face.

I told her that I considered a lot of the MJ sites too "MJ can do no wrong" long before he passed, and since then it's gone into overdrive. The beauty of the prince site, I told her, was that people were here discussing the music. That love for music was the main driver, and that everyone had a more balanced view of his career - and that I respected people's opinions more here than anywhere else. The ability to respect a different point of view, and to have yours respected in return should never be underestimated.

So I just wanted to give a big shout out to all my MJthread fam and say that I appreciate what we've been posting about for the past few years - let's keep it going.

Guys, check this out!

In officially released promotional info before the kids were on Oprah, it states for a fact that Prince and Paris DIRECTLY STATED THEMSELVES that the vocals on the Cascio are NOT Michael.

Three to five of the 10-12 tracks on Michael, out December 14 on Sony, were allegedly recorded at the New Jersey home of producer Eddie Cascio in 2007, when Michael and his children stayed there for four months working on remixes for the 25th-anniversary reissue of Thriller. Michael's son, Prince Michael, said this week that none of what he heard recorded then matches what he hears now on Michael, and that he believes the Cascio cuts were recorded posthumously by a Michael soundalike. Prince's sister, Paris, corroborated these claims--as did Michael's mother, Katherine, during an Oprah interview. Joe Jackson, Michael's dad, also protested the songs via a statement by his attorney.

http://new.music.yahoo.co...it-memorex

Oprah edited this out of the broadcast. Oprah's company, HARPO, is a joint venture with SONY.

I mean, we all know it's not Michael on these songs. But somehow, there are still people out there that think it's him, despite all the evidence that it isn't.

But surely this settles it? The kids were THERE. Prince and Paris aren't little kids. Prince was almost 11 years old when they stayed at the Cascio's in late '07. I have nephews this age and they aren't stupid. They know what they're talking about and are extremely intelligent. They are extemely observant and tuned-in by this age.

Just a random question: Are "The Jacksons" eligible to be inducted into the rock n' roll hall of fame? I know that the "Jackson 5" were already inducted in 97' but seeing as how "The Jacksons" featured Randy as part of the act and jermaine wasn't a part of the original line up, different label and music , does that count?

Yes it does - though it is unlikely they will be inducted - as their influence has not been as great as the Jackson 5 for example. But would be cool - MJ would the only artist to be inducted 3 times then.

I think it's lazy journalism and that it is implied they said it on Oprah. The way the sentence is structured it implies that, but the as did Katherine part means that Katherine mentioned it during the Oprah interview (not the kids).

I remember reading that blurb back in November and it's interesting for 2 reasons - one whilst it was relayed by a family member a journalist (and not direct to a journalist) it could be seen as them trying to bolster their claim, and 2 - it making that statement it has the kids actually corroborating the fact that MJ recorded with the Cascio's - "Prince Michael, said this week that none of what he heard recorded then matches what he hears now".

This is all such a mess it's beyond a joke.

The ArcLight theater had been on the hunt for a film print of the 1988 cult-classic ... but was having trouble because the film was never officially released in theaters in the U.S.

Now, ArcLight explains ... "We have bad news. It's not available" ... adding, "We contacted the films directors and producers and were finally directed to MJ's estate attorney. They let us know the estate has the rights, but 'have no plans to make... prints available for rent at this time.'"

However, the estate didn't slam the door on the idea of releasing it in the future ... so keep your fingers crossed.

JACKSON ESTATE SUES MERCHANDISE VENDOR

(Reuters) - Michael Jackson's estate on Thursday sued a businessman who has teamed up with the singer's mother to market memorabilia related to the late "king of pop" on the Web site jacksonsecretvault.com.

The site, the lawsuit alleged, "does absolutely everything in its power to suggest to its visitors that it is the hub for all things Michael Jackson, and that it is sanctioned and supported by the estate, when in fact it is neither."

Visitors to the site can buy an "official" $39.99 coffee table book containing hundreds of photos from the Jackson family archive and apparently authorized by Katherine Jackson. The 80-year-old matriarch of the showbusiness family is featured prominently in promotional photos.

The suit, filed in the U.S. District Court, accuses Howard Mann and related parties of copyright infringement and misappropriation of likeness, among other charges. It seeks compensatory and punitive damages, as well as the defendants' profits.

"People who trade off Michael's personality, copyrights, and trademarks should not be allowed to exploit the legacy of one of the world's most recognized talents for their own benefit," estate attorney Howard Weitzman said in a statement.

"Protecting and preserving Michael's assets are a core responsibility of the Estate and we will do everything the law permits to enforce those rights."

Mann could not immediately be reached for comment. But he told TMZ.com last November, after the estate had fired off a cease-and-desist letter, that he was "not remotely" worried about it. He said he was helping Katherine Jackson make money while the estate focused on paying off her son's debts.

Katherine Jackson, notably, is not named in the lawsuit. A spokesman for the estate declined to comment. She is also a beneficiary of Jackson's estate and is the guardian of his children.

They should have been a joint induction with the Jackson 5 like Parliament-Funkadelic.

The Jacksons however should get in if only for unleashing Michael Jackson the adult solo star to the world in the late 70s.

It sucks Randy is the only brother not in the Hall.
