Rockie's a soul singer from Minneapolis. He released albums and singles between 1979 and 1985, mainly on A&M Records and his last album on MCA Records.

He didn't really crossover to pop, so that's why he might be less familiar to some. Rockie performed around the late 80's on one of the Minneapolis Award Shows,

where previously awards were handed to Prince, The Time, Jam & Lewis, Alexander O'Neal, Janet Jackson, Sounds Of Blackness, etc and also bands from Minneapolis

performed over there as well such as The Time, Mint Condition, The Jets, etc...

I feel ya. I've stopped watching them. I've seen the same repeats several times. They need to dig up another 20 or 30 episodes to air.

Thing is Centric has shown more than WGN did but it seems as if it may be a contractual thing but who knows?

It probably is a contractual thing. Especially since an independent company/person owns the ST brand and archives.

I caught some of it late last night. Is Rosie Perez the only ST dancer to have broken into the movies?

Chico DeBarge was a nice treat. Man his clothes though... looked like he raided Lisa Bonet's closet.

No, Vivica Fox and Darnel Williams (Jesse on All My Children) also were dancers on Soul Train. I don't think they were regulars like Rosie, though.

Has the Bonnie Pointer episode rerun?
