I agree the vocals are a little weak at times. I still really like the track and one of my favorites on the album. Maybe MJ was having a off day or didn't get a chance to do it again. Considering MJ was a perfectionist maybe he would have wanted to do it over and over against until he liked it.

The production, the music and the lyrics to me are perfect for one of those anthem songs.

If he had an off day for Keep Your Head Up, then he had an off day on all the tracks recorded in those sessions, because they all sound the same.

Notice there wasn't one shred of any pictorial or audio evidence on Oprah. Not one photo of MJ in their studio, not one short home footage clip of him recording, not one line of audio from those sessions where we can all agree on who we're listening to.

Just some funny stories and the statement from the label.

Ok just heard the full leak of this new album and let me just make this statement: 60% of these songs sound fake and unfinished. They should've just left it alone. Seriously. And I didn't notice a real difference with "The Way You Love Me." It sounds like the original track that was on The Ultimate Collection in 2004. But "TWYLM," "Another Day," and "Behind the Mask" are the only ones that were of great interest. They dropped the ball guys, but I'm not surprised.

and now Teddy Riley started to respond to him

When a family member talks about their uncle what would you do...I never agreed with him. I let him continue to talk.

He was 86 from the studio til his grandma spoke to the estate and I had 2 verified. We can go on with the truth but ill stop here.

I am the one that asked 4 Taryll to be on Hollywood. If MJ vox were not real why did he participate on the lp? Cont.

I can go on with tons...message to Taryll pls stop while he's ahead.

Listen fam my blog will tell it all...I promise. Remember this Taryll was my friend. We shared the same management...Cont.

When I stood up for MJ, that chick resigned and took Taryll's side, which is cool. I know god got my back. Cont.

I stay with the fan better known to me as my friend. When I was getting hated on cause I stood up for the truth. Cont.

He stop being my friend cause of this. We could've discuss this. This is not what you do to a friend...Cont.

I guess I was being used by him and his manager who left me hanging 4 him. Now I have good management...I stand 4 the truth

So question to those who have the leaked tracks - are you still going to buy the album?

In this day of illegal downloads and album sales in decline - do you even care about the physical product once it is loaded in your itunes?

And with the album leaking a full week before it's release - will album sales suffer as a result?

...There are albums that I have downloaded and still purchased, because I have enjoyed them so much. In times when I don't I will go to the artists' concerts to support them. Since MJ is no longer with us, all I can do is to buy the albums. Even so...as much as I love his music he is no different. I need to be convinced that the album is a keeper and worth the money. I would have been crashing through the doors to purchase the album since I love MJ's music, but the whole thing with the questionable vocals really gets to me. If I am going to buy an album from an artist, I want them to be on it, and not just some cut and paste job that were put there afterwards. It's not right. I feel as if I'm getting ripped off from a false product and I don't like that feeling.

I want to financially support the album to encourage more MJ releases in the future, but at the same time, I don't want to support it if it means that they are going to just put more Cascio/fake recordings on it. At the same time, if people are boycotting it then the press will just spin it as no one cares for MJ anymore, he's overrated, people made too big of a deal when he died, and etc. I know that this isn't true, but Sony and the estate aren't exactly helping their cause either. Imo, this is why the music industry is fighting a losing battle and which is why they had to take their case to Capitol Hill just a month ago and try to get the government to, basically, censor the internet for their own interests. It's wrong. Even if the songs will be 'hot' for the moment, I can't condone it. Imo, that #1 hit just isn't worth it when you are fucking up someone's legacy.

As for whether the leak will mess up album sales, I will say this: when MJ died there were no less than 10,000+ seeders/leechers on his discography torrents at a time. I mean, multiple, discography torrents. Direct downloads links were posted, literally, everywhere and a lot of them you can still find with a simple google search. Knowing that and realizing that he still sold up to 30+ million albums/records regardless, I don't think anything is going to change, besides the fans who have already made up their minds. Whomever wants to buy it and whoever doesn't will not.

What the fuck are you babbling about? Taryll has tweeted 4 times in the past week.

Teddy Riley, on the other hand, has tweeted 36 times in the past HOUR and been on the most popular talk show in the country to discuss it.

Listen. Teddy has an agenda because he's getting work and getting paid. He's defending the tracks but not providing any substantial evidence, and he's not even stated that what Taryll is saying isn't the truth. It's all empty words - "I'm gonna post the whole truth on my blog". "I'm defending Michael and blah blah blah". "wait till the truth comes out", etc, etc.

Taryll on the other hand posted DIRECT quotes of what Teddy said to him about the tracks not being real, backed up with an anecdote about how Teddy was happy to get a real track (Hollywood Tonight) and even said the name of the studio they were at when this happened. He also has NO agenda. Tell me, what does he have to gain by lying? Is he just making up the quotes that he posted in his head? Well, I've watched many an interview with Taryll as he was a huge star here in the UK when "Brotherhood" came out, and he's a down to earth, level-headed, honest person. It shines through when you hear him talk. His demeanor is more like Michael than any other Jackson family member. Watch ANY interview with him and you'll immediately see what I'm talking about.

I'll tell you something else, straight up. I'm the son of two lawyers and if this little back and forth was going on in a hypothetical court, and I was defending Taryll's character and you were defending Teddy's........ you and Teddy would have got LAUGHED out of court a LONG time ago.

SMH at you saying "he talks too much" when he's made 4 tweets in a week and Teddy's made hundreds of them in the last few days. Wake the fuck up, seriously.

Maybe there were no recordings or pics of MJ in the studio because just maybe he didnt want to invade Michaels privacy. Which is why MJ felt comfortable with the family. This was Michaels time to work and get down to business. The pictures outside the studio there having a good time.

They could have had a agenda and secretely recorded MJ singing and said ....heeeeeey use this as the video for the song with MJ looking all tore up. Im sure MJ wasnt all made up when he was recording in there basement.

Not wanting to bring up the "is he isn't he" debate again but I just wish it would be resolved once and for all. A few weeks back we kept having people saying "in a week the truth will come out". And time has passed and we are no closer.

I had hoped that some proof one way or another would come to light.

I guess it will always be one of those controversial issues.

I'm just looking forward to hearing the tracks that will unite us.

No one will provide anything. Some folks do it for drama issues. Like I said I'm over it. I'll judge the other seven tracks and try to listen to the other 3 and if I feel they're bad and don't represent Michael, I won't play them. Everyone is gonna think differently you know?

Teddy has to give interviews because he is one of the producers on the album and ppl want to ask questions about the controversy.

The media doesn't want to interview the former 1 hit wonder 3 t wanna be his uncle loser looking like a women in the why video. Nobody out here gives a rats ass about t 3 or whatever they names were. What are they doing now? Living in Michaels old room in Encino looking at old pics of MJ and Diana Ross when MJ went to the Forum....LMBAO....

This is all conjecture, and how convenient that they don't have footage of MJ recording.... yet they release footage of him holding babies and relaxing? How is that NOT invading his privacy? I'm a musician and I'd sooner someone film me working in a studio as opposed to relaxing with friends and any musician would tell you the same.

You claim the worlds most famous pop star recorded with you, yet you don't have ANY proof, not a single pic, not a single clip, the vocals don't sound like him, you don't have any alternative takes or rough demos because "the computer was destroyed" and "the hard drive broke". And the vocals don't sound like him. How convenient.

They have a ton of evidence that MJ was their friend and hung out with them. And that's it. Because that's the extent of their relationship with him.

Business or not people, especially friends, like to capture their time when they are together, to remember it. What you are arguing kinda goes against human nature. Even if MJ didn't want to take any pics he would have been trying to hide from their cameras and they would have been trying to take any of him in order to, playfully, tease him or show how they got him when he wasn't looking. This is also why I can not, for the life of me, believe that only one file with vocals exist of these songs. Even if he was your friend, his name was still MICHAEL JACKSON. You still keep things like that to show your children in the future that you were friends and worked with one of the biggest talents in history.

Look Teddy Riley considered MJ a true friend and considering Riley outside of interviews is more street than you know. If he reads or hears someone dissing MJ, or if he knows a particular song is MJ and ppl are like....naw its not....naw its not.... The Riley from the new jack swing days is gonna come out. And please Michaels nephew dont know the real MJ

Im sure Mike was cursing and hip more when he was out with Brett Ratner while showing his nephew his Fake SIDE.....His nephew. just like Jermaine say Michael never curses and doesnt drink. Thats cause he didnt show that side to his family.

Ask Brett Ratner.......Im sure he would tell you some stories...

ANY Jackson family member could call up Oprah and be on her show tomorrow if they wanted to.

1 hit wonder? Actually there were at least 5 hits from the Brotherhood album and it sold over 10 million.

Ironic that you say "looking like a woman".... uhhhh.... that's your best insult? We're talking about MICHAEL JACKSON, one of the most effeminate looking men of all time. Sorry, you lose.

You must know some strange looking women if you think THIS guy looks like a woman... maybe you need glasses.

Like I said, maybe 3T didn't sell records in the States.... but neither did Michael, post 1993. He felt the US abandoned him. HIStory and Blood On The Dancefloor did OK in the US, but were HUGE everywhere else. Invincible success was mostly outside of the US too.

I guess those records must all suck then, because apparently you can sell hundreds of millions of records around the world, but if no-one knows you in the US it doesn't matter. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. I doubt you'll find a single person here that agrees with you on this, so stop now, you're embarrasing yourself and sounding like a troll, to be honest.

What are they doing now? What does that have to do with ANYTHING? What's Jermaine doing now? What's Latoya doing now? What's Jackie doing now? What are you doing now? What is Teddy doing now, aside from having one song with Lady Gaga that sounds like a rehash of "No Diggity" from 15 years ago and making half assed plans to reform Guy and Blackstreet for the 10th time and tweeting 100 million times a day? What does any of that have to do with anything other than you making half-assed personal attacks on people you don't know that don't even relate to the subject at hand?

Do you have ANYTHING relevant to add to this conversation? Because you don't seem to.

OK, you need to stop because now you just sound like a fool.

I guess I don't know my uncles then either. I guess you don't know the real side of any of your uncles. I guess nobody on the planet has any insight into the real character of their parents siblings. Yeah, that makes SO MUCH sense.

I suppose none of my nephews know my real character.

Are you freakin kidding me?

Taryll JACKSON doesn't know the real Michael JACKSON? But Teddy Riley does? Eddie Cascio does?

Wow. You have a screw loose somewhere if you believe that. Jeez.

My point is Michaels nephew dont know the real party side of MJ, or side where he does drink alcohol, he does get drunk. Did you hear what Jermaine said after MJ had passed? My brother doesnt drink....LOL....Perfect example of MJ keeps that away from them because if one brother knows, all of them will know. If a nephew knows im sure he would tell his pops...Uncle Mike is funny when he's drunk.....Thats my point and im not just meaning drinking

MJ showed his family a completely different side of him

I've heard the album and as a hardcore MJ a fan that has everything he's ever done... a fan who was outside the courthouse... in the streets of nyc protesting... I'm so disappointed sad This album sounds like a some mordern day bull crap... The Casico/Potre/Reliy tracks are NOT Michael Jackson...I don't know how ANYONE could think the singer on "Monster" is Michael Jackson... The musicianship on the album is almost non-existentt.... The songs are cheesy and too poppy. The production is terrible... The fact that the Akon production is a stand out is a bad thing...

Hollywood Tonight is not good, it sounds way to....poppy modern day garbage... Michael is singing in altered voice about something of no importnace. The ending with the beat box and whistle is a really nice touch though!!

Best of Joy is okay.. .But a bit chessy... But so was Michael at times... So i take that for what it is...Enjoyed being able to hear the song.

I prefer the older version of They Way you love me... I laugh at this cause it starts with Michael describing how he wants the song to sound.. and he says and "and the drums..." and he beat boxes them.... Then Neff-U plays what Mike did on a freakin keyboard!! Just left me scrathing my head.

Hold my Hand is decent... but is no life changer....Been fimialr with song for 2 years now... This production is better though.

Keep you head up, monster, and breaking news aren't michael jackson so they won't be reviewed. If they prove to be MJ... then there the worst 3 songs he's ever done. by far!

The album does have a bit of saving grace in the final 3 tracks MICHAEL JACKSON shows up..

Another Day is a nice song that features MJ's trademark grunt vocals...I like it alot!!!

Behind the Mask is the stand out track on the album...It brings the MJ feel!! It's when i most felt like i was listing to and MJ album.

Much Too Soon is a pretty song. I'm a bigger fan of this song then I think most will be... I love this one.
