So I watched that MJ feature on Oprah yesterday, and after evaluating it thoroughly, now I believe I've figured out who is singing in "Keep Your Head Up," "Breaking News," and "Monster." It's not Jason Malachi. It's EDDIE CASCIO.....

Possibly...

Anyone know how "Hold My Hand" is doing on the charts? I've heard it on the radio maybe twice in the past couple of weeks.

This asshole probably worked 24/7 to get michael down as good as possible and he did good, but the cracks show.

M.J.'s first posthumous music video precedes album

A new Michael Jackson music video is hitting the Internet preceding the launch of a posthumous Jackson album.

The video, previewed by The Associated Press, debuts at midnight Thursday Eastern time on worldwide websites, including MichaelJackson.com, said Jackson estate co-administrator John Branca.

It showcases Jackson's duet with Akon, "Hold My Hand," recorded before the superstar's 2009 death. It's the first single release from the 10-song CD, "Michael," launching Dec. 14.

The hyperkinetic, four-and-a-half-minute video shows Jackson in concert, Akon singing and dancing, sentimental scenes of children, families and old people holding hands and a woman weeping.

The song opens with the prescient line, "This life don't last forever...So tell me what we're waiting for...Hold my hand. "

Teddy is crazy. How exactly is Taryll a wannabe MJ? Because he sings and is related to MJ? I guess every damn third generation Jackson is a wannabe MJ then LOL lol lol lol

Teddy needs to be realistic. Who exactly is checking for HIM? Like I said before, aside from this new MJ album, the only production work I've seen from Teddy in the last 5 years is that one track on Gaga's EP that sounds just like "No Diggity".

And this is coming from a New Jack Swing fan! I love Teddy's work in the 80's and early 90's, but he's really making himself look stupid now.

I'm coming back from a brief hiatus just to agree with this

Taryll has been pretty respectful, ESPECIALLY towards Teddy

I've always admired the talent of Teddy Riley, but after hearing him lie on Oprah I am terribly disappointed.

So having heard Another Day in full for the first time I have to say I love it. Solid track with great production.

It is interesting how Michael isn't on the backing vocals (though for what I have heard of the album so far he doesn't seem to be on many songs doing his classic layered backing vocals).

It's also interesting that he is repeating ad libs from 2Bad in it at the end "just too much for me".

Great song.

And only 2 days to wait til I hear the whole album in the official release.

i read that teddy said on twitter that that porte dude does chorus vocals and the vocals he was givin of mike was verry processed.

do you guys think the way of recording could have influenced the sound of his voice that much ? is it plausible ?

and if tarryl is right about the cascio and mike having a fall out , and there now milionairs on mikes name. shame on them.

does anyone know if you are so beautifull a track he wrote after trial for his fans was ever recorded?

No. I make electropop music with my band and I've used every vocal processing plugin there is. Not once has it ever made one person sound like someone else. I could run an MJ acapella through a million vocal processing plugins right now and you'd still be able to tell it was him, without a shadow of a doubt.

I've recorded everywhere from a budget setup in my own bedroom to multi-million dollar recording studios. Just this past summer I was in Metalworks Studios in Toronto for a week with my band, that's the studio where Prince recorded "Musicology".

And, in some instances I've had to clean up and process the fuck out of bedroom-recorded vocals because we tried re-recording parts in the big studios and weren't able to capture the same vibe. So I know what I'm talking about in this regard.

MJ's tone, pronunciation, vocal inflections and trademarks are so unique that he could have recorded in a bathroom with a $10 mic and you'd still know it was him.

The fans you see using the excuse of the vocals being heavily processed don't know what they're talking about and are grasping at straws. As for Teddy, he does know what he's talking about, BUT he has something to hide. Even if he did believe the songs were fake, as Taryll claims, he's not going to admit it because he got paid, and it would jeopardise his chances of working on future projects. Let's not forget that it wasn't that long ago that Teddy was broke and filing for bankruptcy and getting chased by the IRS for millions of dollars in unpaid taxes. His agenda here is plain to see.

Also, the so-called "goat" vibrato on the Cascio songs is not a real sung vibrato. It's a digitally added one. The ONLY reason people ever do that is because the vocalist wasn't a good enough singer to pull off a proper vibrato. And you'd never have to do that with Michael Jackson, one of the most talented vocalists of all time.

I need to watch the Oprah show. If Eddie talks a bunch on there, I'll be able to tell from his tones and pronunciation if it's indeed him pretending to be MJ on these songs.

i guess it's possible to record him so inferiorly that he doesn't sound like mike, or process it, but, my ear is pretty goddamned good, i'm a musician and always prided myself on being able to recognize voices. There are all kinds of Prince and Elvis and beatlegs "inferior" recording but none that have made me question whether it was them You see, there are aspects to any voice that will not change due to a persons physical structure and somewhat I guess, a persons culture. I didn't hear michael, now the "hold my hand" track is clearly michael without a doubt. Money makes people do crazy things, Jimi Hendrix has albums which were snippets of some of his work mixed in with other guitarists, to sound complete, there are no elvis tracks that I am aware of where someone tried to doctor something up. Someone tried to say Prince did "Do Anything" it was obviously an imitation to me. Anyway, it's possible but I doubt it, i've listened to it so much that I started to doubt my critical faculties thinking "ok, it's him" but then I come back to it and know right away that not only is it an imitation, it isn't even that good of one.

For the record:

• In 2002 Teddy Riley filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
• In 2004, the IRS filed a $1 million lien against Teddy Riley for unpaid income taxes.
• In 2005, Teddy Riley borrowed $700,000 against the studio from lender, Equitable Relocation Services Inc. Teddy Riley defaulted on that loan and the lender won a $700,000 judgment against him in 2006.
• In 2006 Teddy Riley was forced to sell his house in the Church Point/Virginia Beach area for $1.5 million to pay off federal and city taxes, as well as the home's mortgage.
• In 2007, the IRS filed a second tax lien against Teddy Riley for $196,747.
• In 2008 the state filed a $93,684 income tax lien against Teddy Riley.

Also, his studio burnt down at one stage in the last few years and everything about the story reeked of insurance fraud.

Remember when Taryll first tweeted about the songs being fake, exactly one month ago? Remember this part?

many people who have worked on this project either have strong doubts and questions while others KNOW the truth yet decided to turn and look the other way with their hands out for $$$.

Not really hard to figure out who he's talking about here when you consider ALL the facts, is it?

i knew teddy was broke , and had a guitar fight with his daughter so he isnt perfectly clean.

when it comes to money , alot of people do all that extra for some cash

ive seen a part of the oprah show and none of them convince me on the part of its being mike.

they had a relationship but it still seems they are lying to me

go to 3:50

http://www.youtube.com/wa...HOt3zhyZvc

wow how convincing...

and teddy at 5:50

..

then 6:50

eddies answer is ... just ... "michael absolutely wanted these songs to be released" ... can be, but the way how he speaks makes it obvious that he's making things up one after another.

but you know, there is a small window of doubt for me, I've heard Elvis imitate a country whine and it sounds almost like a different person, and I've got Little Richard gospel recordings which sound nothing like him. But why would michael make any affectations? He rarely has. I think there are effects that can hide a voice but not if the intent wasn't there, I've used effects to make my own voice sound spooky or otherwordly, I doubt if people could really tell it was me. But that begs the question, why would anyone do anything to Mike's voice to detract from it's clarity?

Well, I very much doubt this is true. Nobody in their right mind would work for free on an album pretty much guaranteed to sell millions of records.

But regardless of that, he gets paid on a points basis for having production credits on the album, so he's getting paid even if he wasn't paid up front.

When Bruce Lee died, Warner Bros. went to great lengths to finish the crappy film, "Game of Death" it was a complete ripoff, Bruce had some great fight scenes in the can but nothing else, the storyline was even based on him faking his death, horrible. Sadly, some of the people who worked with him and/or were close to him also took part in this debacle. Only parts worth watching were the fight scenes but at least no one tried to actually say the actor was bruce. Greed turns my stomach.
