Without A Doubt...I'm Getting That Album!

So, whose full length album would you definitey buy when you hear they have released something new? You don't need to listen to it. You just hear about it and you buy it because you like them that much. Mine, you may have guessed, is Donna Summer. What are your choices? Thanks in advance.

There are many for me. Mainly Teena Marie, Roisin Murphy, Tori Amos, Boy George, George Michael...just to name a few! And Donna too!

If it breaks when it bends, U better not put it in!

truth be told I'm a bit of a completist, so if I have bought something in the past and dug it, it generally means next release I'll buy it without listening. It's the artists that are consistent that gets me to continue buying without needing for it to be vouched for.

On two:

Prince - although after nearly 30 years this is probably just a habit now -

Rufus Wainwright - his music now thrills me as much as Princes' used to do.

Is there anybody else who has slightly mysterious bruises?

You ain't the only one who said that, unfortunately. I would say that she's not enthusiastic as she once was.

However, she showed alot of promise in her last album. She had Tony Maiden & Jesse Johnson, I know they didn't put their foot down as much as I wanted them to, but the chemistry was there, and hell, there was enough musicianship and throaty singing enough to count me in.

Maybe I need 2 take a cautious listen.

Weird Al Yankovic (Although since I don't listen to the radio or follow popular culture, on his newer albums I have never heard 98% of the songs he's spoofing.)
