That's a fake.

Do you think so? I think it´s real. If it´s photoshopped, do you have the original picture?

The body is from backstage at the American Bandstand performance from 2002. The face is from when he was in court for the Avram lawsuit from the same year.

The only logical explanation is because they were not finished. Not even close. So they got the impersonator to fill in the gaps in order for them to make money from the songs.

nod That's what I'm thinking too. There's some Michael in there.....but how much remains to be seen

So if I understand this correctly either they were registered 2 days after MJ passed or it's a coincidence that they were granted 2 days after?? Either way is a bit strange.

It'll be interesting to know...

I suppose "Photographs" could be the same as the Will.I.Am song on Rihanna's "Rated R". I thought it was a highly enjoyable melody and it got stuck in my head, so hearing a Michael Jackson version would be interesting.

In general, I'm hardly the biggest fan of Will.I.Am's work, but a Michael Jackson album produced by him could have been still worth hearing. He's probably not going to let out those demos to the public - at least judged by his more recent comments.

Well if they were lodged 6 months prior then it might just be coincidence.

I've always wondered about the story behind 'Scream'. Whether a duet was always planned or whether Mike called in a favour from Janet after his troubles. I've never read anything 'in-depth' about the song and how it came about. Did Janet just voluntarily leap to the side of her big brother? Was she forced out of some family obligation? I know they were close back in the day, and i saw the interviews and the fanciful 'making of' but brothers and sisters do grow apart and Janet had been forging her own identity away from the Jacksons for quite awhile.

Just curious, anybody know more?

There was talk of this on MJJC, and it seems that people knowledgeable about the issue say it may take several weeks or months to get the songs registered, but the date of registration appears as the day the request was recieved. So they submitted the songs on June 27.

EDIT -

I just found this info on the site where you submit songs ot the U.S. Copyright Office:

Note: Whatever time is needed to issue a certificate, the effective date of registration is the day the Copyright Office receives a complete submission in acceptable form. You do not need to wait for a certificate to proceed with publication.

http://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/faq-what.html#certificate

So the songs were recieved by the copyright office on the 27th.

From what we know, Michael asked Janet and she agreed. Janet had mentioned that she had already made a name for herself in the industry and felt better about doing it considering her success. I think there some behind the scene footage where she says this. I don't see why she would say no. The video/music/project for Scream was actually great.

Michael called on Janet to do a duet for the "Decade" album but Janet was in the middle of producing her debut world tour and told him she didn't have time. Janet basically said in an interview that if she was going to do anything with her family, it would be on her own terms. She said "I didn't wanna ride any coattails" and people were still pegging her as a Jackson first even with her success. After janet., she agreed to do a duet with Michael and the rest is history.

So FINALLY got Visions yesterday - have worked through the bonus disc and disc 1.

I understand the frustration with some of the early videos getting a minor polish but no remastering, though for the most part the colours felt richer and the sound was more on point.

Watching "One more chance" you do get the feeling that there was more to come with a second day of shooting - potential close ups, pick ups, and maybe more of a storyline. For only one day of shooting it did come together nicely though and the editor is forced to keep long takes in the mix which I liked.

I guess with a new video for Hold My Hand only days away we should expect a deluxe deluxe edition in a few years, lol.

Cool instrumentals. I wonder if these are from that Classical project he was working on?
