The leaked credits for "Hollywood Tonight" says it has a spoken bridge by Teddy Riley and Taryll Jackson. So, can't be the same song as "Do You Know".

Before the other sticky got removed because of MP3 linkage, Bboy posted the credits of "Hollywood Tonight"... apparently Taryll Jackson is in some part of the song and there's some whistling and a spoken bridge by Teddy Riley.

Just so you know.

It's not. It was written by MJ and Brad Buxer.

I wonder if Michael wrote "Do You Know" on his lonesome.

I hope there's a chance though that DYK is some kind of hidden bonus track. lol

According to the 1993 Mexico Depo, MJ said he wrote DYK by himself

Exactly.

Thanks. I vaguely did remember hearing that name when Michael had that deposition. I've forgotten all about it.

I am not sure right now when Caption EO was made, but I´d say this picture was taken sometime around Captain EO.

Plus Steve Lukather worked on Do You Know and he's not credited on the track

Where do any of these leaks come from? Seems odd that after this track sitting around collecting dust it appears when this album is about to be released...

Question guys: The beginning of Do You Know Where Children Are sounds like O.P.P., but according to wiki O.P.P. wasn't recorded and released until 1991 and this song was supposedly recorded in 1990. What's going on? Is it just a big coincidence? That seems somewhat unlikely... Was there another record both of them were sampling from?

Yeah, I gotta found the song but it was already sampled PRIOR to Naughty By Nature.

Wow...why the fuck did they change the name? "Do You Know" would have been fine, or even "12 O' Clock".

"Hollywood Tonight" doesn't sound like the right name for that song. Damn Sony, messing shit up again.

So, from the first posthumous MJ release we get:

3 fake songs (Breaking News, Keep Your Head Up, Monster)

1 song that's already been released (The Way You Love Me)

1 song that already leaked 2 years ago (yes the new version is better) (Hold My Hand)

1 song that already got released by three other artists (YMO, Greg P, Clapton) - altho I still am excited to hear the MJ version, but chances are it's more or less the same as Greg's version but with MJ singing. (Behind The Mask)

1 song that we've already heard the verse, bridge and chorus of, and was already released without MJ (Another Day/Storm)

2 songs that leaked out a month before the album release. (Hollywood Tonight/Do You Know and Much Too Soon)

That only leaves "Best of Joy".

This whole album is just a colossal fail on the part of both the estate AND Sony.

I mean, where the fuck is:

Xscape

Blue Gangsta

Strawberry Fields Forever

A Place With No Name

Bottle of Smoke

Bassouile

Buffalo Bill

Eaten Alive

Get Around

Hot Street

Men In Black

Serious Effect

....just for a start? Now THAT's the album they need to release.

You can't blame the company for the leaks though - you know Sony would be just as pissed with the leaks as anyone.
