Ahh,bitter ass old people!

:Vincent Price Edition

"[Vincent's] desire to remain in the public eye often led him to accept paltry fees. His work on Thriller simply followed that pattern; but when the album began making its millions he was irate, feeling that Jackson should have materially acknowledged his significant contribution to the album's success. In truth, he was also angry with himself for not having made a more sensible financial arrangement . . . ."

"When a move was made to obtain payment for Vincent for the video usage, his agent was referred to the small print of the recording contract where a video clause was buried, and further payment was refused point blank."

"When it was reported that Michael had made a multi-million dollar payment in respect of charges of his possible misconduct with a young boy, Vincent channeled the ill feelings about his own mistreatment into a joke: 'All I can say is that Michael Jackson f**ked me--and I didn't get paid for it!'"

the New Years Eve '92 show is proof of that

even the bootleg video recording of the HIStory tour show is good lol

If someone had recorded a Bad Tour show like this, the demand for an official release wouldn't be loud as it is lol

Cool, just had a quick check at some parts of your clips. Yeah, they bring the goods for sure and i can imagine about that demand of the Bad Tour lol.

One of his best Tours in retrospect imo. I think you or another orger also posted a great quality clip of "Wanna Be Startin' Something" in Belfast or

Belgrado ?... Can't remember the exact country or city, but that was also amazing footage ... wonder who filmed that.

About that Vince Price segment. Basically Vince got mad because he didn't secure an agreement for royalties for the record and was fine with the $700 MJ gave him? Sounds like that's HIS fault and not MJ's

I am being thick here, but how can that quote be real? Vincent Price died a few years before any of the allegations.

And if Quincy "I'm the real genius" Jones is to believed, he got him in as a personal favour because Price was good friends with Peggy Lipton.

And did Vincent give Michael a cut of the profits from his reignited career? Nope.

The guy was paid like a session muso like the rest. I'm sure the other guys aren't saying "hey I played trumpet on that track, where's my royalty".

Exactly. He was paid for his work but when the album became hugely successful,he got greedy and felt that he deserved more. His "rap" on the title song is cool, but I don't think it's the reason why the song became such a hit.

Vincent was given the choice between a small percentage of royalities for Thriller, or $20,000 upfront. As Price didn't realize how lucrative the album would become, he chose the 20 grand. He wasn't ripped off, he just made an unwise decision. This is explained in Douglas Kirkland's book "Making of Thriller."

Ah, I always think he died in 1991 just because Edwards Scissorhands was his last performance and I thought he died right after that. I should have looked it up before commenting!

I still look back on the reviews of the album and it's obvious that no one thought he was gonna top Off The Wall. It debuted better than Off The Wall did (Off The Wall debuted at #48 but jumped to #9 2 weeks later, and Thriller debuted at #11 and landed in the top 5 5 weeks later) but critics felt "It's okay, it's good but it's not as good as Off The Wall" lol

People ALWAYS doubted his potential but he always found success. They couldn't stand it. lol Oh well.

I guess Vincent didn't think his participation on the album would lead to what it led to but that's too bad, Mr. Price, because you weren't the reason the song was a hit. lol

Michael Jackson's Kids: It's Not Daddy's Voice!

The Michael Jackson album Sony is about to release is a fraud, according to members of Michael Jackson's family.

1101_mj_prince_paris_EXD_Getty_01
We've learned Sony is determined to release the album for Christmas, and believes the songs are all authentic. We're told MJ and his kids were in New Jersey when he recorded the tracks with producers in 2007.

Sources tell us Paris and Prince now believe some of the songs on the album are fakes -- not Michael's voice. Sony, we're told, is convinced all of the songs are the real deal. Howard Weitzman, lawyer for the estate, tells TMZ he had experts listen to the tracks and all of the experts concluded it's Michael's voice on all the tracks.

Other Jackson family members also believe some of the tracks are phony. There is a stalemate, although at this point no one is talking lawsuit.

sigh So much drama disbelief
