Are You A Jewel Fan?

I am a fan of Jewel. She is a great singer and musician. Plus she is a Gemini.

Honestly, Jewel is one of those artists that I neither like or dislike. She has a few songs I sort of enjoy, but not enough for me to buy her records or go to her concerts. She's obviously talented but a little bland for my taste.

I think rodeo guy scored big when he hooked up with her. She's delicious, and seems very cool.

Here's her putting on a "Karen" disguise and singing Jewel karaoke in some bar, it's funny:

I used to like her. But now I find her too plain and ordinary for my tastes.

Does Jewel kind of have a musical identity problem now? She went from alt-folkie, to adult cintemporary to pop princess, to lullabies and now..country??

Anyway, I really like her, no matter what she does (although I haven't heard her country stuff). I love Intuition and the album 0304. The song is brilliant, cool video clip too. Second favorite is Standing Still.

I like her in small doses and appreciate her on a song-by-song basis, I suppose.

try to find the performance she did of Neil Young's "The Needle and the Damage Done" on Howard Stern earlier this year.

fantastic.

^She never had any plans like that, if I recall well she was supposed to release a Cole Porter-esque album though. She's in country now, which doesn't interest me at all, but I like most of her 1995-2006 singles.

This performance is awesome:

I kind of lost interest after This Way but she won be back with Perfectly Clear. the two albums that followed didn't do it for me though.

Just so brilliant.

Once upon time used to feel so fine
i really mean to shine
we'd laugh like we were drunk on wine
no not anymore (x4)
Used to feel so good
used to laugh like we should
we did what we could
come on baby I'm sorry
would you open the door (x4)

Chorus
Baby don't say the stars are falling from your eyes
Baby just say, say you need me one more time
For you and I,
there is no good in goodbye

You know I used to love to leave,
always had something up my sleave,
I guess I mistook being alone for being free,
But no never again (x4)

Chorus

Yes I too was just like you,
finding comfort in a strangers face,
In a darkened place where no one knew my name
And I was slow to see that everything had changed
and I was sad to see that I would never be the same
Without you by my side I'd go insane,
Cause you make the world make sense
Baby, you make the world make sense

Chorus
