rolleyes @ your lack of knowledge for music history.

You really must hate The Spice Girls that much to diss them in every other post that you make. Give it a rest. I get the picture. Their music isn't for you. So why do you bother hating on anyone (myself or otherwise) for having compassion for those ladies?!?

And BTW, The Spice Girls reunion lasted a lot longer that The Fugrees reunion ever did (despite that #1 fan Dave Chappelle had to force Lauryn/Wyclef/Pras them to do it). And to make matters worse, there was NEVER a Fugrees reunion album. Why? Because they still do NOT like each other at all.

lol you think not jocking the Spice Hoes shows a LACK of music history? Dude, get serious. I hate to break this to you but, you're the ONLY person I know that thinks they need to be recognized in music history. That tells me a lot about you. lol

And relax. These are just jokes. Stop taking this shit so fucking seriously. If you wouldn't constantly run to their defense everytime someone dissed them, I wouldn't be fucking with you so much about your love for those hoes lol .

I think Lauryn was the ONLY glimpse of hope & substance to that group. The minute she decided to leave the group, the path to their dead end street was inevitable. She was the only one folks were waiting for to speak up - the other two were unnecessary from the get-go.

But Wyclef's solo career last a lot longer than Lauryn. wink

And speaking of hope & substance, you can NOT overlook Gone Till November.

Meh shrug

I don't feel ANY sincerity from dude. The only thing that caught my attention was his performance of "If I Was A President" from Dave Chappelle's Block Party when he sang it on organ,,,,and I can't even enjoy the damn thing now given the recent circumstances he put himself in.

And btw, Clef can have a fruitful career for the next 10 years. He still couldn't come up with something like...

Its not in him. And the fact that there is STILL a big demand on L-Boogie while she's still on hiatus more than him while he still releases albums, says alot. Just saying.

Lauryn will always get the most props for being the main voice of The Fugees and for that one successful solo album. But in terms of being progressive, Wyclef was better in that regard.

How do you know? lol

She wasn't given a chance to release the materials she recorded because her label didn't want any part of them unless they were "Miseducation Pt.2".

We don't know whether she is progressive or not yet.

As much as I don't care for then-Sony Music CEO Tommy Motolla, he wasn't the only one that wanted a Miseducation Pt.2. Lauryn's own fanbase wanted it as well! nod

Spice Girls: Victoria Beckham (Adams, back then)

[Edited 7/30/10 13:58pm]

Say You'll Be There as THE only exception, I strongly agree. nod Victoria (AKA Posh Spice) was just there while Mel B, Geri, Emma, & (especially) Mel C had most of spotlight as co-lead vocalists on the first 2 albums. Of course Victoria's role did increase after Geri left the group the first time. I think the Geri-diss song Tell Me Why was the first time Victoria was the lead vocal on a Spice Girls track.

That was a diss song!?!?!? Man I love that song even more now.

It's not politically correct to say this. It's some kind of an unpopular opinion...but Marlon, Jackie and the guy with a hat and strange eyebrows were completely USELESS in the Jackson 5. Though people love singing the "The J5 was all about the brothers and brother love" corny and unrealistic song the fact is that these 3 brothers were absolutely worthless in the band.

Well, at least Jackie was hot.

I can only think of Marlon, he couldn't sing much, his dancing was shocking, and he couldn't play an instrument. He was merely a slightly older looking version of Michael. Jackie was the man who provided the mature vocals (He's next most useless). Jermaine played Bass, so keep him, Randy handled the percusiion when he joined and took over as the cute kid. Tito was essential at least as he played guitar, and Michael the most talented was an amazing singer and dancer. So I will choose Marlon and let the others stay.

ANd we can't forget Randy and Michael had the chemistry together to write the songs.

Jackie's falsetto definitely added a lot to their sound. Obviously nothing close to Michael (or even Jermaine) but still. Marlon didn't really have much of a presence. He didn't really seem that into it, even. If I have to kick one out, I agree, Marlon was the one to go.
