People didn't give . . . when she was Amerie, and still won't give a fuck when she becomes Ameriie.

harsh,but true lol

But now people can ask the same questions:

1. Who is Ameriie again?

2. Why did she change her name?

3. Why do I care?

4. Why did I care about whether I even cared?

I like Ameriie, but still. Come on.

1 Thing is probably one of the best R&B songs of the '00s (not much competition anyway) and she is the most sexy R&B singer I have seen the last decade but I really have problems deciding which of the songs u guys posted is the worst. They all sound awful. And I guess those are her best tracks?

I don't know about all that. To say that from 2000 to 2009 there wasn't much competition to "1 Thing" sounds like one of her family members is making that claim. wink

You can call me "ROC" for short wink

I am not related to Ameriie lol. And I didn't say there was no competition, I said there wasn't much competition and I say this on a personal basis. I don't think I can name more than 10 R%B songs per year during the '00s that I actually adored and then some of those have become overplayed so that leaves as with some number of under 100 songs which is not much competition considering we are talking about a whole decade (I am talking about singles of course)

First of all this wasnt even news, i dont consider the internet relevant news sources, this was something she twittered to her fans and then blogging fools who think they are reproters started posting it on sites that get alot of "hits", so its not news, second, she is putting back a letter that was removed, she is korean first and foremost, and her name isnt "amerie" she is reverting more back to her heritage, this all came about on her recent promo tour in Korea and Japan. The reason people go crazy over this is because of "you know who" who started the whole Name changing business. To be honest Prince.Org is the only place this is even being debated about, its a dead issue even on her own site, they've moved on.

Sorry but i have to agree on the lack of competition at least in the "mainstream" RB field, especially after Aaliyahs death, sorry but that decade is a forgotten RB decade for females/males and groups (well there are no real rb groups anymore) Her "because i love it" album is easily one of the best female rb records of that decade, and that was no just my opinion, that was alot of opinions, and the sadder part was that "america" couldnt release it because they didnt know what to "do with it" fucking lame excuse, lamer than the decade was.

Actually, ROC, didn't think it was that big a deal.

I think she should just keep it how it was. But there's nothing wrong with how it is now.
