Justs to touch on phunkdaddy's response....Oliver Lieber is also on the new Fdeluxe project, as a player, and I think as a cowriter on a song or two.

  4. "State of Attraction" (Glen Ballard; Siedah Garrett) – 4:07
  5. "I Need You" (Jesse Johnson; Ta Mara) – 5:01
  6. "Forever Your Girl" (Oliver Leiber) – 4:58 (#1 US)

I used to jam to the album version of "The Way That You Love Me" back then, especially the breakdown of "We dancin'" at the end. The male vocalist, whoever he is, just buts in and ad-libs with laughs and yelps ("I'm watchin' you girl!"), while Paula is in the background making small noises ("uh!"). Crazy...I loved that funky/rocky Minneapolis sound it had.

After that is "Knocked Out," which got heavy airplay on R&B radio stations back then (thanks to LA/Babyface's production). It's amazing this song didn't do well on mainstream pop radio, despite 2 attempts -- the original album version and later, Shep Pettibone's remix that was released after Paula's popularity exploded.

this is an album full of catchy songs smile

Also interesting to note that Pebbles sang background vocals on various songs.
