Artists who you used to love but couldn't care less about anymore.

I'm sure we've all fallen out of love with some of our favourite artists/bands over the years.

I was a huge Janet fan all through the 90s, and even stuck with her through AFY and DJ, but by the time she released 20YO it was quite clear she was only heading in one direction (down the pan).

I'm not even sure if I would bother buying her next album.

Another artist who I used to love is Kylie. She was so cool and sophisticated in the 90s, I loved Confide In Me, Where The Wild Roses Grow, Impossible Princess etc and then she came out with Spinning Around and it was just a huge sellout.

Nas.

Maybe I'm wrong about this because I haven't bought an album since Stillmatic, but...

Nastradamus and Stillmatic in a row made me feel like not checking for him anymore.

Mariah and Mary J.

The minute they tried to sound like everybody else even though they're superior than most of them vocally, it was a wrap for me. I still cherish their older music though,,,and I try to follow their news(esp if they intrest me).

prince. i used to dig him but now i don't. occasionally i might spin something out of nostalgia but that's about it. i stopped being a fan when he decided to piss on the fanbase and now i buy other music. he's no longer worth it to me.

Erykah Badu is the first person who popped in my mind.

Must have rubbed off onto me because I love Badu more than ever these days.

I'm the exact opposite, I've always thought her delivery was annoying, and I've always considered her voice despite its limitation, quite charming actually.

TTD, I was an obsessed fan (going so far as to perform Wishing Well during a middle school talent contest) but his post-Wild Card output is too self-indulgent for my taste. Sadly, it appears, like Prince, that he has too many yes men hanging around him to knock some since into his noggen.

Speaking of, Prince- Lotus Flower is the first Prince album I didn't care to purchase (even though I recently saw it at Target for five bucks).

On the verge- Tracy Chapman. Didn't buy her latest but plan on eventually getting it. This despite the ""sameness" issue really starting to work my last nerve.

Janet. I used to be a BIG Janet fan, I have seen her three times. Now, I could care less about her "subtitled singing", ass.

Come to think of it, I have "Control" and "Rhythm Nation".

After that... nah. I got tired of trying to hear what she was whispering about. lol

I do have "Janet"which I think is her last great album, after that I lost interest.

It's not that I don't care about Prince anymore, but I don't get excited about Li'l Man the way I used to. His douche-y behaviour has taken a lot of the shine off.

Ditto.

I also haven't been much into Lenny and De La Soul in years. I'm just not moved by their stuff anymore.

Eminen (He's still cool musically, but I just never remember to remember to look for his new releases like I did when I was little. shrug I don't know why. Just kinda forgot about him.)

R. Kelly (For the past few years, his music has been really awful, lol, so I've lost interest.)

Prince (It's not about him anymore, but instead, just his new music I find interesting. I started feeling this way in 2008, and since then, I rarely ever listen to/watch his old stuff like I did before. That excitement I used to have regarding him as a person/persona is gone, but I'll still listen to new Prince releases.)

John Mayer (Don't even have to explain. disbelief)

Alicia Keys

I love her first two albums and I had high hopes that haven't been fulfilled. Her last two efforts were a big let down for me.

Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

Janet after Velvet Rope.

Mary J. after the Mary album.

Prince, probably ten years ago. I still go to shows and buy whatever albums but I don't listen to him or get the joy I used to get listening to his music anymore.
