So, I just downloaded my pre-ordered copy of the "Soldier of Love" today. I think this album is classic Sade with a contemporary edge. IT'S AMAZING!! Once you hear the album, I would love to hear your thoughts...

I listened to clips on a mp3 online store. I seem to only like Soldier Of Love and that's it. If I get a chance to hear more than clips, I may come back and adjust my opinon:)

They keep playing her new single on Radio 2 (UK) and, to be honest, it's forgettable at best and at worst is no great departure from 1992's Love Deluxe (a wonderful album but eighteen years old).

Let me know how the album is as we all know that released singles are often weaker tracks.

IT IS AWESOME. She takes time to come out with a new LP, this is worth the wait for sure - delivery is cool, unrushed, and it does have that Love Deluxe vibe, and that is perfect by my reckoning!

Buy it - sit back, and love it.

I scored a copy from Starbuck's on my way into work! I listened to it, and while I think it's a good album, nothing really stood out to me as being exceptional. When considering the time it took Sade to make this album, I wanted more. I also wanted a better mix between the truly somber melancholy songs and uptempo songs in the vein of some of their classics like "Hang On to Your Love," "Never as Good as the First Time" and "Sweetest Taboo."

I'm not going to listen to clips and plan to buy it tonight when I go to work. The first new album of the year I bought. The music business is so lame with this almost always deadly first quarter shit (among other things). It will defiantly benefit Sade and give them a number one album,
