Nneka - something different from mainstream R&B

I said I would stop doing this but once again, I'm trying to share with those who always say that all of the R&B out is the same.
Who's hip to Nneka?

Nneka - The Uncomfortable Truth

(Yeah, she does look a little like Esperanza Spalding)

I like her, she´s from around here and came out around 2004.Her dad is Nigerian and she did her first shows in Hamburg as far as I recall.

I love 'Heartbeat' one of the best songs of 2009. Haven't heard the whole album though. Is it good? By the way she reminds me late Neneh Cherry a bit

hmmm
I see Esperanza, but I don't see Neneh.

Anyway, just throwing her out there. People on here love to complain about how "there's nothing new or different" when there is all of the time but they don't look for it.

Thank you Blaqueknight...I sooooo appreciate you turning us on to her. Love the message in her music. So nice to listen to music with a meaning. She has some Bob Marley going on in her music.
