If we stopped bringing in records from every unsavory character that puts out an album, there would be tumbleweed floating around our stores

no doubt!!

Except Susan Boyle's! wink

I can't tolerate that elevator music sound, but I'm glad for her success.

Chris Brown has mad talent, but his momma should go upside the back of his head every time he goes to open his mouth or type on his computer. Silence is golden! I personally think he's bipolar or ADHD.

Ha Ha Ha I heard on the radio that Walmart was stocking Chris Brown's cd and that if flew like hotcakes off of the shelf. I hope Chris isn't trying to become another Kanye West in the making by throwing temper tantrums when his albums don't get the recognition he thinks it deserves.... cool

He blacklisted himself when he hit that girl. I'd like to slap some rhythm into a lot of them, him included, but you just don't go around putting your hands on people.

R&B singer Chris Brown canceled his Twitter account after a weekend of angry rants against the music industry.

His “MechanicalDummy” Twitter account is no longer visible (of course, it could have been record label Jive stepping in) but recently there were increasing signs of frustration. The AJC’s Buzz noticed just last week that he posted a Tweet effectively telling his haters to stop the “bullshit”. He immediately followed up with a Tweet apologizing to his “young fans” for the cursing.

A few weeks before that, we saw that his Twitter account mysteriously posted a comment criticizing the performance of rapper Jay-Z (who discovered Chris’s ex Rihanna and was extremely critical of Chris after the beating earlier this year) during an awards show. Just as quickly the Tweet was removed and Chris followed up saying he didn’t write the comment.

But over the weekend Chris went on a potty-mouthed Twitter rampage against record stores, claiming they weren’t carrying his recent CD release “Graffiti,” and this time he didn’t apologize for “all the cursing.”

“I’m tired of this shit. major stores r blackballing my cd. not stockin the shelves and lying to costumers. what the fuck do i gotta do… … yeah i said it and i aint retracting shit im not biting my tongue about shit else,” some of the posts said.

While he still has his share of fans (the AJC’s Buzz was at the performer’s recent Atlanta concert), it’s no secret that many people are still angry with the performer over the Rihanna violence and they have vented much of that through blogs and Twitter − many think he should have suffered stronger consequences. This latest incident gave them more reason to tear him apart, filing Tweets and blog entries saying the problem was an album that just wasn’t selling.

In fact, on Monday Billboard posted a story pitting numbers against rumors. It found that all the major retailers are indeed carrying the CD and Chris’s record label and distributor followed through on promotion and supply. But with sluggish sales, many retailers said that they are simply overstocked. One retail purchaser told Billboard, “I wish I could send it (the CD) back.”

So far, there are those who are celebrating this latest slip in Chris’s world. A prominent entertainment blogger posted “Good riddance” after seeing Chris’s last Tweet: “I WANNA THANK MY FANS FOR ALLT HE SUPPORT. I LOVE YALL. GOODBYE!!!!!”

Someone else Tweeted, “R.I.P to Chris Brown’s career.”

Guess that remains to be seen.
*****

He just doesn't get it. You can't beat the shit out of someone and threaten to kill them and suffer no consequences. He is only sorry is career is done - not that he beat Miss Robyn Rihanna Fenty's ass. Fugg Chris Brown and his wretched album and his poor posture and stoop in his back.

Come on, now. Can't sing? That's reaching. He's no Luther Vandross but as far as pop singers go, he's better than Justin, Britney, his ex girlfriend and quite a few more people.
And to keep it real, I think his CD isn't that bad. He is obviously still taking bad advice from people around him. I would have raised hell over releasing a CD this year. Obviously, his label is trying to accelerate the demise of his career. Its clear that the decision was very corporate. Its the same mentality of "when the economy is bad, raise your prices"
He should have done ONE interview; "I'm sorry, I'm getting help", stayed out of the limelight for a minute...and obviously, off Twitter as well. He's still doing young, dumb stuff.
And everybody knows that if it were Prince raising hell about not seeing his CDs in the store, the whole org would be in an uproar. Any platinum selling pop artist should be concerned if they don't see their CDs in the stores. The proper thing to do is to put someone on it rather than vent about it to strangers.

[Edited 12/15/09 10:34am]
He can't sing to ME. I stand by that and those other folks you mentioned can't sing either. I lump all of them together.

And I really wouldn't give a damn if Prince was pissed off about his CDs being in stores. He's another person who likes to shoot himself in the foot.

You know what some of P's action have hurt him but let's be honest he was never in trouble for beating some woman down and even is bad actions have not stopped him from laughing all the way to the bank.

You simply can't compare P to the disaster that is Chris Brown.

Is there anyone you respect other than Prince? Doubt it, since you seem to hate everyone else that put out music since CDs were invented.

No, I just don't like non-talented assholes. Something you seem to have a love for. You get on this board and defend every loser band or group that anyone can think of. I am not sure if you believe this shit or if it is just to stir something up.

I love good RnB music and some rock. I dislike continued mediocrity as much as you seem dislike Prince (but still drag your ass to this board) you are out of mind comparing P to someone like Chris Brown.

Chris is famous for doing back flips and beating a woman (LOL)

Because you think this punk has talent tells us a lot about your taste. In addtion, I don't think giving a woman a beat down is dismissing someone on a whim. Just proof that your off your fucking wheel. eek

I take it your kidding when you make this type of statement cause a loser like Brown beating on a woman is wayyyy different than a women who has discovered her dumb ass husband is cheating and smashes in his window

Either "Extra" or "Access Hollywood" reported last week that Cheetah's wife became enraged and threw his cell phone at his face inside their home and broke one of his teeth. This supposedly happened before he ran out of the house to his truck, and that's why he hasn't been seen yet....But for some reason, this story has not been repeated/sensationalized everywhere in the news/tabloids like Brown's attack. If this is indeed true, I guess in the eyes of the media, Woods' stupid and scandalous acts of adultery overshadows his wife's physical assault towards him.

First of all Chris how no clue about the industry and how its going now. He's a media star, if he was blacklisted hhis album wouldnt even be carried by stores. This time of year is for artists that have wide appeal, artists that can crossover, not for someone that just punched a female in the face, and now is carrying on like a brat, bitch should be satisfied he is walking around, because if he was joe schmo he would be doing some kind of time. So stop crying Chris, and honestly, you arent that important and DONT have a track record to even be talking about things like this. The fact that all this went down, then we had to hear about it for months and months, andd then we had to see you and rihanna on talk shows, then we had to hear you on interviews and then we get hit with you and a new record. I mean OVER-fucking-KILL, and lets be real, you committed the crime, stop getting upset with the backlash that you caused yourself, OWN UP.

Are we speaking about the court of public opinion or a court of law? smile Mr. Chris Brown was charged and convicted of felonious assault. Mr. Tiger Woods was ticketed $164.00 for careless driving. There never was an investigation or charges brought against Ms. Elin Woods for domestic battery nor vehicular vandalism for that matter. What's been reported about the events (Tiger crashing his Cadillac Escalade) of that night, is based on conjecture, hearsay, hyperbole, and rumor.

It aint fair to even compare Chris Brown to Ike Turner just off of one domestic abuse incident.

Ike and Tina fought all the time, and Ike til his death denied ever "beating" Tina. Chris Brown, on the other hand, owned up and took responsibility for his actions.

But we don't know she did, either. Tiger himself denied it. But what we do know is she was cheated on over & over again!

Personally I don't think the industry shouldn't try to sabotage his career by not stocking his shelves.

His personal life should stay that way.

There were no charges brought because there are no 'legal' witnesses available.
The two principals are married to one another and thus cannot be compelled to testify against the other. The children are too young. So how would you bring charges?
If there are security tapes, unless one of the Woods' consents to hand them over, the police can't see them. They probably haven't even 'asked.' (You only get to 'ask' once.)
Also any circumstantial evidence is likely in the house and the police had no probable cause to have gone inside the house. Any scratches, bruises, bleeding or broken teeth could have been explained away by the accident.
I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.
