Love it! MJ was a brilliant singer/dancer...best of all time, however, that's all he was. Let's not compare him to Prince, best musician of all time, but rather, compare him to someone like Sammy Davis Jr (who I don't hear anyone calling a musical genius).

This song was written by Skip Scarborough, who was also working with Earth Wind and Fire at the time.Philip Bailey has said that he regrets that EW&F didn't get this song first

Love the song, Jeffrey Osbourne showed his chops on this one, but I bet EW&F would've killed it too. R.I.P. to the 1 and only King of Pop!!!

I didn't know that?! So, ironic when I saw Timmy's posting I thought, "Love Ballad" is a E,W,& F type song. WOW. What a sensuuous song, up there with EWF, Love's Holiday. Be very careful how you treat people: You know where you've been but you don't where you're going.

Skip died without fanfare six years ago here in Los Angeles. He was an accomplished songsmith . His list of songwriting credits include 'Can't Hide Love' / 'Love's Holiday' / 'Earth Wind & Fire' (for Earth, Wind & Fire); 'Don't Ask My Neighbours' (for The Emotions);'Giving You the Best That I've Got' (for Anita Baker) and "Love Changes" (for Mother's Finest).

Lawd, I love Jeffrey's voice. I saw him in concert last year and nearly died when he sang Love Ballad. "After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill...the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill...you stay in wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes."
