Great track. He references San Fernando valley (The Valley) a lot in the lyrics to this song. Even mentions Ventura Blvd which is a famous street that runs all through The Valley. I used to live 4 streets over from Ventura Blvd when I lived in Sherman Oaks for years which is dead smack in the middle of The Valley. "Vampires"....Yeah, very cool song.

love that song. cool

I have a case of 80's nostalgia. Who would have thought of this time as simpler.

"A face in the crowd" is a good song off that album. Never cared for "free fallin'" though. Jeff Lynne was helping writing/producing for pretty much all the Travelling willburies around that time LOL.

"Free Fallin’"

Shes a good girl, loves her mama
Loves Jesus and America too
Shes a good girl, crazy bout Elvis
Loves horses and her boyfriend too

It's a long day living in Reseda
There's a freeway runnin' through the yard
And I'm a bad boy cause I don't even miss her
I'm a bad boy for breakin' her heart

And I'm free, free fallin'
Yeah I'm free, free fallin'

All the vampires walkin' through the valley
Move west down Ventura Boulevard
And all the bad boys are standing in the shadows
All the good girls are home with broken hearts

And I'm free, free fallin'
Yeah I'm free, free fallin'
Free fallin', now I'm free fallin', now I'm
Free fallin', now I'm free fallin', now I'm

I wanna glide down over Mulholland
I wanna write her name in the sky
Gonna free fall out into nothin'
Gonna leave this world for a while

And I'm free, free fallin'
Yeah I'm free, free fallin'

music
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Nothing touches Tom's and Axl's duet on this song. Axl totally overpowers him though lol
